The Icemourne was an unobtainable weapon from the 1.2 update. It was entirely removed from the  Desktop version in the 1.2.4 update although it still exists as an unobtainable item on the Nintendo 3DS version.

Notes

• Even when it could be obtained with hacks or inventory editors, the Icemourne was never a usable weapon. Although its name, sprite, and overhead swinging animation did work, trying to use it as a weapon would not affect the enemy.
• The item tooltip referred to it as "placeable", and it would turn into an Angel Statue when placed.
• On the Nintendo 3DS version, the Icemourne's name reads as "Boreal Wood Work Bench" and its tooltip would read as "Can be placed, Used for basic crafting".

Trivia

• This sword's name and appearance is a reference to the Frostmourne from the Warcraft franchise. It was likely removed because it would violate the copyright agreement of Blizzard Entertainment.

History

 Desktop version

• Desktop 1.2.4: The Icemourne's item ID (673) has been changed to the Boreal Wood Work Bench, effectively removing the Icemourne from the game files.

• Desktop 1.2: Introduced, but unobtainable and does not work properly.
