The Ice Blade used against Target Dummies.

The Ice Blade is a pre-Hardmode sword which occasionally fires a non-piercing Ice Bolt projectile when swung. It costs no ammunition or mana, emits a small amount of light, deals the same damage as the sword, is not affected by gravity, and dissipates upon hitting an enemy or solid block. The Ice Blade has a 1551/10000 (15.51%) chance of being found inside Frozen Chests in the Ice biome, as well as a 1/6 (16.67%) chance of being obtained from Frozen(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) and Boreal Crates(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions).

Its best modifier is Legendary.

Notes

  • The Ice Bolt projectile has a cooldown of 0.92 seconds.
  • The Ice Blade is capable of autoswing. It will swing in the direction of the last fired projectile.
  • Melee speed will affect the speed of the Ice Bolt. Its cooldown will remain unchanged, however.
  • On the PlayStation Vita, this weapon deals 18 damage without modifiers instead of 17. Whether this is intended or not is unknown.
