The Bacon is a food item dropped from all Pigron variants with a 1/15 (6.67%) chance or from Pigronatas with a 5/192 (2.6%) chance. When consumed, it grants the Exquisitely Stuffed buff. This lasts for 24 minutes, but can be canceled at any time by right-clicking the icon (), by selecting the icon using Cycle Next/Previous Buff and then pressing Remove Buff (), or by double-tapping the buff icon ().

Like all other food items, Bacon can be placed on a Plate.

Notes

The Pigronata has a chance to drop Bacon even in pre-Hardmode.

Tips

In terms of duration and effects, Bacon is the second-best food item in the game, tied with the BBQ Ribs and only behind the Golden Delight.
If the player has enough money for it, consider buying Pigronatas in bulk and breaking them, as the Bacon that they drop will grant huge stat boosts for the duration of an entire in-game day. It is also arguably easier to get compared to the BBQ Ribs or the Golden Delight.
- However, the effective cost per piece of getting Bacon this way is considerably higher than the 10 GC foregone by using (rather than selling) a Golden Delight, which can be crafted from any Gold Critter and has twice the duration of Bacon. (See the Pigronata page for full analysis.)
- If the Party Girl is happy enough (and/or a Discount Card is used), the player can actually buy Pigronatas for less than their average coin drop, resulting in unlimited Bacon if the player has sufficient coins to get about 10 Pigronatas to start with.
