The Ball O' Hurt attacking Target Dummies.

The Ball O' Hurt is a pre-Hardmode flail that emits small particles similar to those of other objects in the Corruption. The Ball O' Hurt has a 1/5 (20%) chance of being obtained from destroying Shadow Orbs found in the Corruption or a 1/5 (20%) chance from Corrupt Crates(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) and Defiled Crates(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions), which are fished in the Corruption.

It is particularly useful when fighting worm-type enemies or the Eater of Worlds boss, since it does relatively constant damage to the multiple segments.

Its best modifier is Godly or Demonic. Both modifiers increase the average damage output by the same amount.

Trivia

• The Crimson flail counterpart of the Ball O' Hurt is the Meatball. However, it is crafted rather than looted. Its Crimson Heart melee weapon counterpart is The Rotted Fork.
• Despite appearing to be a weapon made of Demonite Bars and Shadow Scales, it is uncraftable.
• A rather humorous modifier for this weapon is Hurtful, making it the "Hurtful Ball O' Hurt".
