The Bat Hook is a rare pre-Hardmode grappling hook that fires a single hook which reaches 31.25 tiles at maximum length, and has the longest reach of all pre-Hardmode hooks. The Bat Hook has a 149/22500 (0.66%) chance of being obtained from Goodie Bags.

The Bat Hook has a pull-in speed of 72 mph and a hook velocity of 13.5, which makes it a very fast hook that can be acquired in the early game. However, some players may find a multi-hook (such as the Ivy Whip) preferable.
