The Broken Bat Wing is a rare Hardmode crafting material used solely to craft Bat Wings. It has a 1/40 (2.5%) chance of being dropped by Vampires during a Solar Eclipse.

Tips

  • Selling the Bat Wings instead of the individual components will be more profitable. The wings sell for 8 GC, whereas the components sell for a collective 2 GC90 SC.
  • An easier/faster way to get the Broken Bat Wing is by placing a Water Candle or consuming the Battle Potion because the Blood Moon and Solar Eclipse do not have a set spawn rate.
  • The Broken Bat Wing can technically be obtained before any Hardmode bosses have been defeated, as Jungle Temple enemies can spawn before the player gets inside the Temple, allowing the player to get Solar Tablet Fragments and, by extension, summon a Solar Eclipse before defeating any Hardmode boss. This makes the Bat Wings the second best pre-mech boss wings, after Fishron Wings.
