The Bunny License is a consumable item that can be purchased from the Zoologist for 5 GC after filling out 45% (243 entries) of the Bestiary.

Upon use, the status message "The license teleports away to the bunny delivery service..." is displayed. Following this status message, a Town Bunny will move into an available house the next morning. Using a second Bunny License when a Town Bunny is already present in the current world causes it to disappear and be "exchanged". The Town Bunny then respawns the next morning with its name and breed rerolled.

Notes

• Just like any other NPC, the Town Bunny requires valid housing with proper size, background walls, a table, a chair, and a light source. However, it can share a house already occupied by another NPC, although not with another town pet.
• Due to the high Bestiary completion requirement, it is generally very difficult to acquire a Bunny License in pre-Hardmode.
