The Chlorophyte Claymore is a Hardmode sword which occasionally fires a Chlorophyte Orb projectile when swung. It costs no ammunition or mana, deals the same damage as the sword, can pierce an infinite number of enemies, and dissipates upon hitting a solid block. The Chlorophyte Claymore is the slower but more powerful sword of the two that can be crafted from Chlorophyte Bars, with the other being the Chlorophyte Saber.
The Chlorophyte Orb behaves the same way as the Magic Dagger, but has a larger hitbox. Like the Magic Dagger, the orb travels in a straight line at a constant speed for a short distance before dropping steeply and falling faster. Upon impact, the orb implodes and emits a light, sparkly-green particle effect.
Its best modifier is Legendary.

Notes
- The Chlorophyte Orb projectile has a cooldown of 0.75 seconds.
- While the cooldown is active, the player can neither switch items, look in another direction, nor utilize Auto Select, but they can continue swinging the sword.
- A small particle effect and the sound for restoring mana will notify the player of a recharged Chlorophyte Orb.
- Melee speed will affect the speed of the Chlorophyte Orb. Its cooldown will remain unchanged, however.
Trivia
- All existing Tizonas in 1.3.0.1-equivalent worlds were replaced by Chlorophyte Claymores upon updating.
- The word claymore is often associated with the anti-personnel Claymore mine. However, like the weapon in Terraria, the mine was named after the medieval Scottish sword claymore.
