Coffee is a food item that grants the Plenty Satisfied buff when consumed. This lasts for 10 minutes, but can be canceled at any time by right-clicking the icon (Desktop version), by selecting the icon using Cycle Next/Previous Buff and then pressing Remove Buff (Console version), or by double-tapping the buff icon (Mobile version). Coffee has a 1/30 (3.33%) chance of being dropped by Snatchers, Man Eaters, and Angry Trappers, and a 1/10 (10%) chance of being dropped by Bone Lees.

Like all other food items, Coffee can be placed on a Plate.

Trivia

  • The tooltip, "'Hello darkness my old friend'", is the opening lyric of the song "The Sound of Silence" by the American music duo Simon & Garfunkel.
  • The Coffee dropping from various plant-like enemies in the Jungle may be a reference to how real-life coffee is produced from coffee beans, the seeds of Coffea plants typically farmed in rainforests and other tropical regions close to or within the Equator.
  • Real-life coffee has a stimulating effect on humans, primarily due to its caffeine content. This is referenced in Terraria by the fast-moving Bone Lee dropping the item.
