The Faecorn is a pet-summoning item that spawns a Cenaxe pet, which passively harvests items from trees. The Faecorn has a small chance of dropping when the player shakes a Forest tree.

The Cenaxe pet appears to swing an axe, but it does not destroy tree tiles. It passively generates Acorns and the appropriate wood from most trees, and Gems, Stone Blocks and Gemcorns from Gem trees.

Trivia

  • The Cenaxe pet is a reference to the Great Tree vs Axe War of 2023, a community ran event that many Terraria developers participated in. During the event, Terraria developer Cenx was the leader of Team Axe and was often called Cenaxe.
