Fairy Glowsticks in action.

The Fairy Glowstick is a consumable light source sold by the Zoologist for 75 CC when all three fairies have been recorded in the Bestiary. The Fairy Glowstick functions like a regular Glowstick when thrown. However, upon colliding with solid blocks, it will hover to a maximum of approximately 7 tiles above where it had landed.

The Fairy Glowstick provides more illumination compared to a regular Glowstick while in liquids.

Notes

• The Fairy Glowstick will always move itself to the position which covers the most area, though this ability is quite limited. It does this by moving slightly left or right from the impact area and hovering at the most effective height. If blocked by a 6-tile high ceiling or less, Fairy Glowsticks will simply fly to the top of the ceiling.

Tips

• It may be especially useful in the Ocean biome while looking for Chests or farming enemies.
• Its hovering ability in conjunction with its larger illumination radius in liquids makes it quite useful for illuminating surrounding walls in watery environments.
