The Falcon Blade attacking a Target Dummy. Note its small range.
The Falcon Blade is a pre-Hardmode sword that has very short range but has high attack speed and decent knockback, which makes it useful until late pre-Hardmode. On the Desktop version,
Console version, and
Mobile version, the Falcon Blade is capable of autoswing. The Falcon Blade has a 38/625 (6.08%) chance of being obtained from Iron Crates and a 299/5000 (5.98%) chance from Mythril Crates(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions).
Its best modifier is Legendary.
Tips
- With sufficient fishing preparations and some patience, the Falcon Blade can be obtained very early on. It surpasses even the Light's Bane/Blood Butcherer in damage.
Trivia
- The Falcon Blade is a crossover item also found in the 2015 indie side-scrolling real-time strategy video game Pixel Piracy.
- It can almost be considered a pre-Hardmode Cutlass, sharing many of the same features, pros, and cons, as well as the similar designs.
- The Falcon Blade has a design that resembles a falchion, a one-handed, single-edged sword of medieval European origin.
- In addition to this, the words falchion and falcon bear a close resemblance to each other.
