Flasks

Flasks are a type of consumable item crafted at the Imbuing Station. Each provides the player with a buff that causes their melee and whip attacks to inflict an additional debuff. This lasts for (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) 20 minutes / (Old-gen console and 3DS versions) 15 minutes, but can be canceled at any time by right-clicking the icon (), by selecting the icon using Cycle Next/Previous Buff and then pressing Remove Buff (), by selecting the icon and canceling it in the equipment menu (), by double-tapping the buff icon (), or by canceling the buff from the buffs screen ().

Any item classified as melee will benefit, including swords, spears, yoyos(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions), tools, boomerangs, flails, the Scourge of the Corruptor, and the Vampire Knives, among others. All projectiles created by these items inflict the debuff as well, except for the Flairon's bubbles.

All whips will benefit from any type of flask too.

Only one flask can be used at a time, and activating a second will cancel the first. On the  Desktop version,  Console version, and  Mobile version, flasks will stay active after death and exiting worlds, unlike other potions.
