Guns are ranged weapons that fire bullets or Candy Corns as ammunition.

All guns can benefit from the damage bonus of the Shroomite Mask and are applicable for the Rifle Scope or its upgrades' zoom ability. Possession of any bullet-firing gun or bullets fulfills the spawning condition of the Arms Dealer NPC, see detailed criteria here.

The Flare Gun uses ammunition, however it does not inflict ranged damage; several items are also referred to as "guns" in-game (e.g. Piranha Gun, Space Gun, or Water Gun), but none of these require ammunition, nor do they benefit from Shroomite Mask or Rifle Scope, so they are not categorized as "guns" on this wiki.

The best modifier for guns is Unreal, with the exception of guns without knockback.

Types

There are 25 different types of guns, 14 of which are Hardmode-exclusive.
