Instruments are items that produce distinct notes or sounds when used by the player via the Use / Attack button. Most are pure novelty items, but some have functional effects. The pitch/note played is usually controlled by the distance between the center of the character and the location of the cursor when Use / Attack was pressed. On the Desktop version Desktop version, Console version Console version, and Mobile version Mobile version, playing musical instruments now shows the note on the cursor.

There are eight playable instruments in the game.
