Some of the swords have different stats than on modern versions. The Breathing Reed, Ruler, and Umbrella cannot be used as swords at all.
The following exclusive sword is available as well:
Tizona(Old-gen console and 3DS versions)
Shortswords can only stab horizontally in front of the player.
On the Nintendo version, newly created characters spawn with a Wooden Sword instead of a Copper Shortsword.
