A Living Wood Chest can be found inside rooms within hollow Living Trees. It can also be crafted at a Living Loom, which may sometimes be found placed near a Living Wood Chest on the  Desktop version,  Console version, and  Mobile version. On the  Old-gen console version and Nintendo 3DS version, a Living Loom may sometimes be found in item form inside of a Living Wood Chest.

Trivia

• The changelog for 1.4.4(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) claims that the chance of a Sunflower or Ladybug Minecart being contained in a Living Wood Chest was increased from 1/10 (10%) to 1/6 (16.67%). This was not put into effect, however.
