Ocram's Razor is a Hardmode boss-summoning item used to summon Mechdusa. It can only be crafted and used in a Get fixed boi world with the Mechanical Eye, Mechanical Worm, and Mechanical Skull.

This item has no function when brought to other worlds, and its tooltip will display 'It has no effect in this world' instead.

This item's name is a reference to Ocram, a boss exclusive to the Old-gen console version and Nintendo 3DS version of Terraria, and Occam's razor, a problem-solving principle which can be interpreted as "entities should not be multiplied beyond necessity," or more simply, "The simplest answer to a question is the most likely to be correct."
The chest-like appearance of the Ocram's Razor could also be a reference to Pandora's box, an artifact in ancient Greek mythology that unleashed curses upon the world when its owner, Pandora, opened it out of curiosity, leaving behind only the spirit of Hope.
Ocram's Razor is the only item to use other boss-summoning items in its recipe.
- Incidentally, the Suspicious Looking Skull, which is exclusive to the Old-gen console version and Nintendo 3DS version, also requires other boss-summoning items, and is used to summon Ocram, the boss being referenced in this item.
Because it is only available in a Get fixed boi world, in which the Clentaminator and all Solutions are unavailable, this item makes it impossible to obtain every item without switching between worlds.
