The Portable Kiln is a pre-Hardmode tool used to place decorative pots using items from the player's inventory. It is sold by the Demolitionist for 25 GC.

The Portable Kiln can use various blocks to place down decorative pots which resemble pots from different biomes. These decorative pots only drop the block used to place them when destroyed.

The placement style of the pots can be cycled through Desktop version by pressing the ▲ Up and ▼ Down button.

Trivia

  • Decorative pots were added to the game in 1.4.4.9, but they could not be placed by any item. The method for placing these pots down was called ForModders_AddPotsToWand().[2]
  • The Rubblemaker, Portable Kiln, and Mitey-Titey have a rarity of Red (Rarity level: 10) despite being obtainable during pre-Hardmode.
