The Restoration Potion is a recovery potion that restores health ((Old-gen console and 3DS versions) and mana) and inflicts Potion Sickness when used. Despite its appearance, it is not created by upgrading Lesser Restoration Potions.
Consuming a Restoration Potion has the following effect:
- (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) Restores 90 health and inflicts Potion Sickness for only 45 seconds (rather than the usual 60 of health-restoring potions).
- The duration of Potion Sickness can be further reduced to 33.75 seconds via the Philosopher's Stone or Charm of Myths.
- (Old-gen console and 3DS versions) Restores 100 health and 100 mana. Potion Sickness lasts for the full 60 seconds.
Restoration Potions can be found in Shadow Chests in the Underworld.

Tips
- (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) The Restoration Potion has a confusing place among the tiers of healing potions. Compared to the Healing Potion, it gives almost as much health with a shorter cooldown. Compared to the Honeyfin; it gives ¾ the healing with ¾ the cooldown. Either way, there is also natural healing/regeneration during the cooldown to consider.
- Mathematically, the Restoration Potion is the best pre-Hardmode health potion, as its health-to-cooldown ratio is tied with the Honeyfin's, barely being better via receiving health more often.
Trivia
- Although there are both Greater Healing Potions and Greater Mana Potions, there is not an equivalent "Greater Restoration Potion". The same goes for Super Healing Potions and Super Mana Potions.
- All Lesser Restoration Potions were replaced with Restoration Potions in 1.4.0.1(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions).
