Seeds are consumable items used to plant grass or grow trees, herbs, or flowers. Seeds are planted in specific soils, and some can also be planted in Clay Pots, Planter Boxes(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions), or Rock Golem Heads(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions). To plant a seed, select it in the hotbar and press ⚒ Use / Attack above the planting location.

Types

There are 19 different types of seeds, 14 of which being either herb or grass seeds, evenly split.

Notes

  • Acorns can be planted in any type of grass except Mushroom grass.
  • Grass seeds can only be planted on Dirt/Mud/Ash Blocks. They cannot be planted over other types of grass.

Tips

  • The Staff of Regrowth increases the number of seeds gathered when used on blooming herb plants, and has a chance to harvest an extra herb as well.

Trivia

  • The Acorn is the only seed that can produce different species when planted on different blocks.
