There's no chefs in all of this world, so I have to cook all this fish myself!

    The Angler

Fishing foods are consumable food items crafted from various fish caught during fishing. They grant either the Well Fed or Plenty Satisfied(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) buff when consumed.

There are (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) six / (Old-gen console and 3DS versions) three variations: Cooked Fish, Cooked Shrimp, Sashimi, Shucked Oyster(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions), Seafood Dinner(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions), and Lobster Tail(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions).

Like all other food items, they can be placed on Plates(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions).

    Trivia

    • Although the Seafood Dinner depicts a crab, it is only craftable using fish.
    • The Cooked Shrimp's tooltip, "'Barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it...'" is a reference to the 1994 American comedy-drama film Forrest Gump.
    • The Cooked Fish's tooltip, "'Where's the chips!?'" refers to fish and chips.

    History

    • Desktop 1.2.4.1: Cooked Fish and Cooked Shrimp are now crafted at a Cooking Pot rather than a Furnace.
    • Desktop 1.2.4: Introduced Cooked Fish, Cooked Shrimp, and Sashimi.
