Using the Snowball Cannon to shoot snowballs and attack Target Dummies.

The Snowball Cannon is a ranged weapon which uses Snowballs as ammunition. It can be found inside Frozen Chests in the Ice biome, as well as Frozen(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) and Boreal Crates(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions).

Its best modifier is Unreal.


  • Snowballs make a small "boom" when landing.
  • Its damage is higher than stated due to snowballs having a base damage of 8.
  • In don't dig up(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) and Get fixed boi(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) seeds, the Snowball Cannon receives the following changes:
    • Switched place with Ice Bow. As a result, it is dropped by Ice Mimics during Hardmode instead of found in Frozen Chests.
    • Damage increased from 10 to 22.
    • Use time decreased from 19 to 6.
    • Has 50% chance to save ammo.
    • Value increased from 10 GC to 25 GC.


  • Snowballs fired from the Snowball Cannon are greatly affected by gravity, so it is not recommended to be used against enemies at farther ranges.
  • This weapon is extremely useful in the very early game due to its autofire ability, accessible ammo, and high combined damage and knockback of weapon and ammo.


  • Desktop
    • Damage increased from 4 to 10.
    • Use time increased from 18 to 19.
    • Knockback decreased from 4.5 to 1.
