Spears

Spears are melee weapons that attack in a stabbing motion ((Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) like shortswords, but much slower and with much greater range). They are able to hit enemies through walls. Due to their slow animation, they can also hit a single enemy multiple times.

The best modifier for all spears is Godly or Demonic. Both modifiers increase their average damage output by the same amount.

Types

There are 19 different types of spears, 12 of which are Hardmode-exclusive.
