Yo, I heard you like rockets and running boots, so I put some rockets in your running boots.

The Goblin Tinkerer

Spectre Boots are an accessory crafted from Rocket Boots and either Hermes Boots, Flurry Boots, Sailfish Boots(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions), or Dunerider Boots(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions), and combine their functionality (except the faster speed on sand from Dunerider Boots). They increase the player's max horizontal movement speed to 30 mph, and grant a total flight time of 1.17 seconds. During flight, they emit a white/blue cloud trail, but unlike the Rocket Boots, they do not produce any light.

Notes

  • The flight time is cumulative, which means that it can be broken up into split-second bursts.
  • The flight time cannot be stacked with its upgrades.
  • Spectre Boots have a maximum ascent speed of 38 mph.
  • When paired with wings, the flight of Spectre Boots will be disabled. Instead, it directly adds 0.7 seconds to the wings' flight time.
  • Regardless of which boots are used to craft them, Spectre Boots will always use the Hermes Boots' dust particles for its running animation.
  • Dyes can be used to color the boots and their particles.

Trivia

  • Despite having "Spectre" in its name, the Spectre Boots are not made from either Ectoplasm or Spectre Bars.
  • Mounting in mid-air while flying will, for a split-second, blow out Rocket Boots particles. This also happens if the player un-equips a mount while flying, though it lasts a bit longer.
  • Although its rarity is Rarity level: 4, it can be easily obtained pre-Hardmode.
