Squire armor is a Hardmode armor set purchased from the Tavernkeep for 450000*45 in total after defeating any mechanical boss, and provides summon as well as melee damage bonuses. The set consists of the Squire's Great Helm, Squire's Plating, and Squire's Greaves.

A full set of Squire armor provides the following stats:

• +58 defense
• +15% melee damage
• +30% summon damage
• +15% melee critical strike chance
• +15% movement speed
• +2 HP/second health regeneration
• +2 sentry slots

Additionally, wearing the full set will increase the velocity of the projectiles of the Ballista sentry summons and will increase the maximum number of enemies that can be pierced by them from 3 to 6. It also grants the wearer the Ballista Panic! buff upon taking any damage, which further increases the fire rate of all Ballista sentries summoned by the player for 5 seconds.

The Valhalla Knight armor can be considered a direct upgrade of the Squire armor.

• The total bonus to the max number of sentries is +2, allowing 3 to be summoned at once.

Tips

• The Squire's Great Helm can be used even in the endgame for hybrid builds focused on regeneration and sentries.
• This set is an alternative to Spider armor for summoners against mechanical bosses, the Hardmode Dungeon, and Plantera. It trades minions for sentries but increases regeneration and provides powerful towers for arenas.
