Mechanic Reference?

Could the "lady killer" thing also refer to him tying up the Mechanic? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.123.107.137 at 10:05, February 26, 2012 (UTC)

George's Hat?

Someone just added "George's Hat" to the list of sold items... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.255.25.96 at 00:47, January 7, 2014 (UTC)

Spelling mistake

the clothier makes a selling mistake. He says:
I know everything THEY is to know. he says they instead of there — Preceding unsigned comment added by Crusher169 (talk • contribs) at 09:21, April 25, 2013 (UTC)

Confirmed the above poster's claim. I have updated the main page. —71.226.43.205

Quote Bug Cannot Be So

"Bug: Will not say your red hat looks familiar if it is worn in the vanity slot, it must be equipped" I have reason to believe this certainly isn't so. There are two problems with this being listed as a bug. For one, this, I think, should be listed in the Red Hat article, rather than the quotes page on the clothier's article. Heck, it isn't even listed there. Second of all, at least on the PC version 1.1.2, this is easily disprovable. Whenever I wear my red hat in the vanity slot (where it is meant to be worn as it is a vanity item), I speak to the clothier and he often tells me that my hat looks familiar; not always, but often. Personally, I don't think it would make any sense for Redigit to make a vanity item which you have to wear in the equip slot for proper function (or even the other way around). I have no intention to insult the writer, but my findings are in direct contradiction to the bug he wrote down, and I think most everyone else running PC 1.1.2 would find the same thing I did. I can not vouch for any other versions. So it brings me to question that if it IS so on Console, why isn't it listed as such? Or if it isn't so at all, why was it listed to begin with? --24.144.250.152 22:06, 17 September 2013 (UTC)

The person who added the bug properly assumed that the Clothier would always say that and when he didn't he thought it was a bug. I've removed the bug now. --0icke0 (talk) 08:22, 18 September 2013 (UTC)

New Items Cowboy costume

Just bought a cowboy hat, shirt and pants (With spurs! :3) from him. I have no idea what the requirements to get him to sell this is. I'm in hardmode, haven't beaten any hardmode bosses yet and have beaten the pirate invasion once. --75.141.133.72 20:45, 6 October 2013 (UTC)

Cowboy and Princess sets

The Princess set is available from the Clothier during a new moon. Just tested that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.168.25.5 at 17:01, October 6, 2013 (UTC)

Odd bug...

My character is named Curly, and the clothier says "... we have a problem! It's a blood moon out there!" instead of "Curly... we have a problem! It's a blood moon out there!" Can someone check if this is an isolated problem or if it happens to other people too?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Samario1 (talk • contribs) at 16:28, 29 October 2013 (UTC)

I was assuming this to be a recent question (before seeing the date in History). I noticed the Clothier doesn't say the name as of 1.2.4.1, and I'm suspecting that he never did. The quote works perfectly fine without it. Correcting the quote and removing the mobile anomaly concerning it. NoseOfCthulhu (talk) 23:21, 1 June 2014 (UTC)

Fredrick?

The name Fredrick was recently added to the list of names for the Clothier. Can someone confirm that the name is one he can get? I've certainly never seen it, and I suspect this might be someone sticking their own name in as a form of vandalism. -Xolroc (talk) 17:39, 12 June 2014 (UTC)

I can't speak for the mobile or console versions, but for PC it seems the name list can be found under getNewNPCName(Int32) : String, under NPC. The part seemingly being the Clothier names looks - as of 1.2.4.1 - like this:

{

case 514:
return "Sebastian";
case 515:
return "Rupert";
case 516:
return "Clive";
case 517:
return "Nigel";
case 518:
return "Mervyn";
case 519:
return "Cedric";
case 520:
return "Pip";
case 521:
return "Cyril";
case 522:
return "Fitz";
case 523:
return "Lloyd";
case 524:
return "Arthur";
case 525:
return "Rodney";
case 526:
return "Graham";
case 527:
return "Edward";
case 528:
return "Alfred";
case 529:
return "Edmund";
case 530:
return "Henry";
case 531:
return "Herald";
case 532:
return "Roland";
case 533:
return "Lincoln";
case 534:
return "Lloyd";
case 535:
return "Edgar";
case 536:
return "Eustace";
case 537:
return "Benjamin";
}
return "Rodrick";

That fake names are added seems like a recurring problem. Personally I'd prefer if the section was protected somehow. NoseOfCthulhu (talk) 23:30, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
Reverted. Is there a way to protect a certain section of a page? Or maybe just protect the NPC pages altogether...? -Xolroc (talk) 23:37, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
Sorry for a late reply. I don't know if it's possible to protect a section, and I'm not sure if it's a good idea to protect the whole page. An alternative could've perhaps been to make a separate page for NPC names. I'm however fairly certain that only admins can enable protection, so I'll make an inquiry about it. A bug I found while messing around with the HERO's and Cheat Sheet mods

I have found that if you somehow have multiple Clothiers (e.g spawning them using the above mods), and you equip a Clothier Voodoo Doll, The Clothiers' attacks damage each-other. I'm not sure if it should be here or on the Discussion Page for the Voodoo Doll itself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Overhaulterrarian (talk • contribs) at 12:48, 26 March 2018 (UTC)

Could be in Trivia, I’ll get more opinions —ϟAwesome_Diamondsϟtalk 19:52, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
This wiki is for the vanilla Terraria, no mods. I suppose you can mention it here on a talk page, but nowhere else. – Ferretwings (talk)
I think that this applies for ALL npc projectiles. I might go check now. The mods were only used in getting multiple of the same NPC. EDIT: It seems to apply for all npc projectiles. Only tested with Demolitionist attacks, but i see no reason why it wouldn't apply to the others. I guess that this DOES apply to Vanilla Terraria after all. This is gonna be shown in edits, as i don't know how to add on a reply... Overhaulterrarian (talk) 19:48, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
Quite interesting. I added it to the Guide and Clothier Voodoo Dolls' pages in the Trivia section. – ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 23:47, 4 April 2018 (UTC)

Seriously guys 😒

The quote “t’were I younger I would ask heather (in my case) out I used to be quite the lady killer” is talking about adventurers dying to his boss fight guys your dumb like REALLY dumb Yeetmcgee345 (talk) 21:20, 17 April 2019 (UTC)

I think the current trivia is right. This is just referring other works, not your theory: Lady killer isn't about the players that got killed by Skeletron. -- Murrayzero (talk) 22:32, 17 April 2019 (UTC)

Yes it is Yeetmcgee345 (talk) 22:39, 17 April 2019 (UTC)
