Coral Regeneration

I'd like to verify that coral does not grow back, but as it constantly grows in its area, it can continue to be harvested. I would, therefore, consider it able to "grow back". Due to this, I'm going to remove the sentence stating it is unknown if coral will grow back after being harvested. Further, the first paragraph even says it will grow in 5 block deep water within 250 blocks from the map's edge, so the statement seems contradictory. --Kuxinux 23:48, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

Assuming you do it within 250 blocks from either map edge and higher than +0ft, does this mean you can create an artificial lake and farm coral? Or does it really only grow in the "natural" ocean area? - Spinfx 04:29, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
As far as I am aware, there is no vertical limit to where you can make it. If that is indeed the case, then yes, you can create artificial beaches on the map edge 250 blocks wide or less with sand and water and grow more coral (more than the natural ocean, which doesn't lend itself to easy harvesting in the first place). --Kuxinux 04:43, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure you can create an artificial ocean. My Coral farm seems to agree. --Lunboks 05:43, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
A Coral farm

Reclassification

Since it's used in potion ingredients as well as an accessory, I don't think it should be in decorations anymore
