Can anyone confirm that this actually drops from Bone Serpents? I've been killing these things for hours, and gotten 4 Sunfuries in that time. I've yet to see a flamelash, or, in fact, anyone else with a flamelash. Is the drop rate known?

I can. I've gotten two from beating Bone Serpents, and my first was LONG before ever getting a Sunfury. However, I can't say anything about the drop rate. --Pikaguy900 17:58, 2 June 2011 (UTC)

The drop-rate is approx 1 in 30 to 1 in 50 for either item, considering their low spawn-rate and high hp getting both the sunfury and flamelash can take quite a while. --RPGpro 18:17, 2 June 2011 (UTC)

I believe the 'controlled for up to one minute' is incorrect or outdated, for I have been able to control it for multiple minutes without problems or reactivating it. I checked both my own time and the in-game time (GPS). Floris_Fireball 14:57, 14 July 2020 (UTC)

New bug

It seems that new worlds don't spawn with a flamelash in the shadow chests of the underworld anymore. I verified this with my mapviewers (I used two to be sure). I've seen worlds generated with as many as two Dark Lances or two Sunfuries, however.

It does appear in Shadow Chests, but it's very rare. I had to go through as many as seven worlds to get mine. --122.107.201.131 07:17, 12 February 2013 (UTC)
