Talk:Hoik

Upwards hoiks (and possibly hoiks in other directions) don't seem to work when the player is traveling too fast. For example, I tried to mount "hoik 1", and I had Frostspark Boots on, and it put me between the starting "teeth". I don't know what's the speed limit yet.

Block-Swapped platform hoiks

You do not need to block-swap every single corner block with a platform, just the first one. It's a bit more difficult to activate the hoik midway, but it is possible if you hold down and reach 20-25 mph. This does make it much easier to traverse on top of it both ways without accidentally activating it. Making the corner blocks out of Frozen Slime works too.
