Jungle roses became jungle spores?

Jungle Roses from before the update are Jungle Spores. The Jungle Rose in 1.0.6+ is a completely new item. Luna 16:10, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

wait, i had 30 jungle spores in one chest from 30 jungle roses, but before the update i put one single jungle rose in a treasure chest: and it was UNAFFECTED by the update, why is it a non-stacked rose survived the update with no "harm and corruption" wrought upon it?

does this mean its possible to safe guard places only using a single jungle rose? keep servers safe from al nerfs? like you put everything before the updates by the jungle rose, and it safe guards them from the harm of nerfs? could 1 jungle rose against an update make truly all the difference in the world of terraria? could it set things right before the 1.0.5 update and the horrid "corruption" wrought to the game.... nerfs and gameplay changes.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.20.242.10 (talk) at 13:56, 19 October 2011

More common the deeper?

My first time in the underground jungle, and it seems like that the jungle spore "plants" are more common the deeper you go. Is that right, or was it just random chance? -- Khym Chanur 14:19, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

Can get two spores per "plant"?

A few times when harvesting a jungle spore "plant", I got the "Jungle spore (2)" message, and I ended up getting more spores than I thought I should have. So, is it possible for a single "plant" to release 2 or more spores? -- Khym Chanur 14:19, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

Late to the party as usual, but yes, you can get multiple spore drops from the same "plant". I'm not certain that you can get more than 2 though, I thought I saw a "(3)" once but it could've been from a nearby plant or I could be remembering wrongly. - Spinfx 14:28, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

Staff of Regrowth

Article should probably mention if the player gets more spores when using the Staff of Regrowth. I'm pretty sure Staff of Regrowth doesn't increase drop rate of spores, but I think it may be useful for a player hunting for these.
