"It is the only boss that doesn't have a spawn message and having a defeat message" Lunatic Cultist: Am I a joke to you? ((Commented by user:Okokup) (talk) 15:13, 1 May 2020 (UTC))

Drops changed?

The 1.4.0.1 changelog says that some of the less desirable drops were moved to other Martians. Does anyone know more about this?

Was wondering about this. Antigrav hook page has been updated but blaster still days dropped from saucer. Yggdrasilmamel45 (talk) 23:46, 27 June 2020 (UTC)

Deathray block

"you can no longer hide under blocks to avoid the deathray" is says yet I saw just earlier today the deathray was undoubtedly being stopped by something, more than likely by blocks... Am I missing something? Duker 00:14, 01 July 2020 (UTC+1)

Saucer Scrap

I've been poking around and I saw Saucer Scrap.gif and additionally read about the presence of such 'scrap' somewhere on this wiki (Guide:Martian Madness strategies maybe?) But I can't find any behavior info here detailing how Saucer Scrap works, so I think it'd be helpful if that was explained in the page (the infobox also currently states that the saucer deals 60 damage (normal mode) with "Flames", but I've never experienced or heard of a flame attack... is it possible the two are related? Update: After reading the guide a little it seems, from what I can read, that Scrap projectiles are 'debris' that falls from the berserking second stage Saucer in Expert and Master. I've never tested this myself so it'd be nice to get confirmation on how it works, and update the page accordingly? --2057clones (talk) 13:28, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

Probably you saw it on Projectile IDs, and yes, they are called Scraps in-game. How it works is that the saucer ocassionally drops the Scraps in Phase two, which lingers on the ground for a few moments and deals damage when touched, and also for little note, it is not expert mode exclusive --Daud ahn (talk) 14:02, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
Oh, alright. Good to know how it works. (Wouldn't it be expert on Desktop version Desktop version, Console version Console version, and Mobile version Mobile version due to the removal of 2nd phase in normal?) But yeah, thanks. --2057clones (talk) 15:30, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
Oh, yeah. You are right about the expert exclusive, will be fixed. --Daud ahn (talk) 15:37, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

Boss, or Mini-Boss?

Im not sure if this is correct or not, but according to the bestiary (and its similarities to other bosses such as its big loot pool, two phases, and many attacks) the Martian Saucer is a boss, not a mini-boss as the wiki states. If this is true, than the wiki article should mirror the game

The wiki currently uses this system for boss / mini-boss classification (from the Bosses page):
  • Bosses: boss = true in Terraria's source code;
  • Mini-bosses: the other trophy-dropping characters.
So, the Martian Saucer is considered a mini-boss. Prior to 1.4 it was considered a boss since it had the boss flag set internally. --Eraloiz (talk) 20:28, 4 August 2021 (UTC)

The boss is classified as a boss in-game, therefore it should be listed as a boss.GrampaSwood (talk) 00:08, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
