Plantera's Spawn Conditions

Does anybody know if you have to be in hardmode for the jungle to grow restless? It's possible to spawn all three of the mechanical bosses pre-hardmode, but my assumption is that killing all three won't trigger the next phase of progression until the WoF has been killed. I just tested. Your assumption is correct (image). NoseOfCthulhu (talk) 02:37, 26 September 2015 (UTC)

Jungle doesn't grow restless.

I have just killed all of three mechanical bosses (i have killed destroyer three times, for more souls and cash, remaining bosses have been beaten one time). After killing skeletron prime, which was destroyed by me as last one, there was no "The jungle grows restless..." message. I went to jungle to check if it changed. No plantera bulbs generated, hovewer, i was able to find and gather life fruits. Achievement "Bucket of Bolts" is not completed. Just like the game "forgot" to complete achievement and spawn plantera bulbs. I am going to beat mechanical bosses again, if nothing happens, topic remains. EDIT: forgot to mention, im on a big world with Hardmode in it. EDIT2: Killing bosses again helped, i found some plantera bulbs, achievement bucket of bolts have been completed. End of the topic, i hope it will help.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Palg00me (talk • contribs) at 07:58, 25 July 2019 (UTC)

That's weird, looks like the game didn't register the kill for whatever reason. I'd try to kill Prime and/or the Twins again to see if it appears. Plantera bulbs are usually hard to find (especially on a large world), but if you let them spawn by going AFK during an hour or so then you could find one more easily.
If killing the mechs again doesn't spawn any more bulbs, you should report this bug in the Forums instead of here, as they are better suited for these types of conversations. Bame66 (talk) 16:35, 25 July 2019 (UTC)

^The Mech boss summoning items can be used at the same time, thus spawning all 3. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.195.207.221 at 01:44, 6 January 2020 (UTC)

Clarification on alternate spawn messages

On some pages, there are alternate natural spawning messages for Destroyer and SkelePrime. It needs to be clarified if they ever existed, if they exist in the current version, or if they existed in 1.1/1.2. Destroyer Alt: "You feel a quaking from deep underground..." SkelePrime Alt: "You feel the air getting colder around you" (Normal message is stating it, rather than saying you're feeling it" --UnderTaleFan33 (AccurateJaney) 02:54, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

The ability to spawn naturally was only added in 1.2, so none of the messages have existed prior to that. But even after 1.2, I can't find these two messages anywhere in the Desktop source code. Ever since 1.2, there is only one message that is displayed for each boss (I may have missed some versions since I didn't check every single one, but I highly doubt Re-Logic would implement this in one version and then remove it again in another version shortly thereafter). I can only speak for the Desktop version, so it might be possible that these messages existed or still exist on other platforms, though this would require verification, of course. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 16:47, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
Oh, and the messages are not in the localization file of the 3DS version either, so they're most likely not in that version either. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 16:51, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

Boss Slayer Achievement

Why isn't the boss slayer achievement (or whatever it is called) on this page? I mean the "Defeat every Boss in Terraria" one. NationOfKiribati (talk) 21:33, 16 January 2024 (UTC)

Simply an oversight. It was added now, thanks for noting! --Rye Greenwood (talk) 07:56, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
