Muramasa eh? Am I right in assuming the Creator of Terraria is a Bleach fan? :3 --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.3.181.10 (talk).

He probably is not; Muramasa was a Japanese swordsmith whose blades were thought to give bloodlust. Contrasts with Masamune, another Japanese swordsmith. A lot of video games use either name for swords, and so do anime. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.210.187.7 (talk).

Knockback

It seems the knockback is almost non-existent after 1.0.5. Is the current figure (3) still correct ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Derito2293 (talk • contribs) at 16:25, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Its hard to be sure; but 3 is a pretty low knockback. Check if your Muramasa doesn't have a Weak enhancement, (and sign your damn comments.) Other then that, im pretty sure its still there, even though i have a Legendary muramasa, so im not that sure. Not kidding. I do not remember how i got the legendary muramasa. Not much more powerful then a normal one, considering the low base damage. Keep getting owned on hard mode. 188.81.8.51 18:41, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

1.2 New Sprite

Uh, the sword's sprite was changed in 1.2. If you don't believe it, check it yourself. It's pointier, it doesn't have that roundy end anymore. I'm not that good with wikis, somebody should change it and mention that. --79.112.111.191 19:37, 20 October 2013 (UTC)

Muramasa emits no light

I don't know, whether it is a bug or a feature, but I found a Muramasa, which does not emit light. Just some blue sparks are showing, if the blade is in motion. This is the first time I found one in a version 1.2 dungeon, so I don't know, if it is supposed to be that way or if there is a bug. What is the best weapon modifier for the Muramasa?

— Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.41.17.237 at 15:44, 11 April 2014 (UTC)

As with most melee weapons (not spears however) the best modifier is Legendary. Check the Modifier page for more info. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MiniWatto96 (talkcontribs) at 19:35, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
Confirmed, I managed to get legendary on Muramasa in-game (PC version) upon testing. NoseOfCthulhu (talk) 16:11, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
