Removed video

The page Terraria_Wiki:Video_policy cites the video on this page as an example of a proper video. There currently is no video on this page. It looks like there have been several videos added and removed so I cannot tell which video the page is referring too. It's important that we bring back that video or change the video policy page to cite a different video. --Moxxy 17:14, 29 June 2011 (UTC) Very.--Terrariafreakpiper

Useless to use bucket of water directly on lava

As far as I can tell, dumping a bucket of water directly onto the surface of lava doesn't generate obsidian, because the water isn't deep enough on contact. Is that rigth? -- Khym Chanur 22:35, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

Yes, you need enough water for obsidian to be created, so if you pour a bucket of lava on a larger body of lava the water will just dissapear. --Icke 23:17, 23 November 2011 (UTC)

Regarding previous editions

It says that Obsidian was updated in a patch to only be mined by Nightmare or better, but what was the lowest pickaxe prior to that update? I feel, for completion, it would be beneficial to include this information, if available. 24.15.248.79 03:27, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

Does not work after 1.2

The infinite Obsidian generator does not work after update 1.2

Doesn't work on mobile version either. -- 203.104.11.21 04:01, 10 December 2014 (UTC)

discussion obsidian ore

Both this page and the page at http://terraria.gamepedia.com/Ores say that obsidian is an ore. I don't think it should be, because it is created with lava and water, doesn't have its own bar (Apart from hellstone bar, which has the same name as hellstone ore and looks like it, and only uses obsidian as another required ingredient), and doesn't have the name 'obsidian ore'. If it was an ore, then ectoplasm could be thought of as an ore too, since it is another ingredient in making a bar, and same with glowing mushrooms.
