Talk:Pressure Plates

The color of natural pressure plates is based on what it spawns on. Every pressure place that's generated in my world has been gray on stone blocks and brown on dirt blocks. --71.51.146.49 07:48, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

i nearly died in a dark dungeon searching for pressure plates, the dungeon was green, with a blue back wall or something, sadly i was expecting a bountyload of wires all in one room, only to foolishly activate several pressure plates, i nearly died from the constant bombardment of mobs, etc., when i accidentally right-lciked a switch which sent a dark trap into both mobs and me, but when i hammered it it revealed itself to be a grey pressure plate, i know it was a pressure plate becuase i examined it, i broke the wire and decidedwhat to throw out, then i decided i had a red pressure plate and i was like why not, greys better.... i noticed the coding may be off, since a grey pressure plate spawnd on green dungeon bricks, whats more, (possibly wedge and spawned inside a manuall switch aswell) all i know is i was WAY TOO confident when i jumped down and pressed that switch, can someone please research less dangerus ways of obtaining wire and pressure plates (etc.) an why that one was grey instead of green? it apears to be just another spawning bug but i just want to know... (former and slightly sadened DLAJT24, bless blue.) P.S. i've been invited to a PVP match which is night time only, blood moon PVP, i'm going up against classic pro.'s and was wonderng if summoning bosses can bennefit my team by ditching the opposing forces with something such as the eye of cthulu, i just come for answers and thanks again, i promise to make ammends i really do... i just have curiosity for bugs and whatnot, or vent at the wiki in my spare time of how my log in gets bugged once and again, or whatnot, or just get some support on games like this (for one i was cowardice to the EoW in the past if you read y page, but enough with the spam i just need to know 2 things and ill leave...)

Not a bug - it generated grey since green is activatable by NPCs. All traps have player-only pressure plates. Samario1 (talk) 10:10, 30 October 2013 (UTC)

Activation bug?

There appears to be a bug where the plate isn't activated when you drop onto it after walking off higher ground, as opposed to simply walking or jumping onto it. Seems to be independent from the plate's color, although I only have greys and browns. Anyone else run into this? --Pygmyowl (talk) 16:48, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

• Update: only happens when you walk off a ledge one block high. Might be caused by that "walk up and down the stairs automatically" thing. -- Pygmyowl (talk) 16:57, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

PC Exclusivity Weighted Plates???

Are weighted plates only on PC? The names are missing the PC icon. aLso, are minecart pressure plates PC exclusive? Because that page has a pc/mobile exclusivity banner. --Leonord curse「talk」 13:46, 21 December 2016 (UTC)
