Slime drop infoboxes

People keep adding slime drop infoboxes back to their wiki pages, and I'm not sure I disagree with the practice. Can we reverse the policy of omitting the drop rates from slimes on their respective pages? It's not being done with any other enemy group, and with the increased diversity in slimes lately they aren't dominated by simple palette swaps any more. --Theothersteve7 16:22, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

Slimes floating upstream, bug or no bug?

I don't think its really a bug, it would actually make sense that it floats upstream. (Just slower)

Should it be an anomaly? — Preceding unsigned comment added by ParanoidP (talk • contribs) at 02:50, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Lava Slime and Gel

I've never seen a Lava Slime dropping gel on death. Is it just me, or should the page be amended? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.216.184.123 at 12:47, 15 September 2013 (UTC)

This should be amended. Let me check if it hasn't already. If not, I'll change it. —Awesome_Diamonds 18:43, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

Dropped Slime Banner

So I've currently setup a pre-hardmode slime farm just to test what happens in the new update, and it that every 50 slimes killed a messages pops up where text normally comes up, and the player receives a slime banner straight to their inventory, it is not dropped on the ground. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Glitchsteal (talk • contribs) at 02:20, 1 July 2015 (UTC)

Overpowered Slimes

So a few minutes back I encountered some green slimes that did 95 damage, and had about 388 health. This was in a Expert+Hardmode world, at first I thought it'd be a bug, but after making after making a new world for testing purposes, I found that the slimes stay relatively week in Expert mode, Pre-Hardmode. But after killing the Wall of Flesh and thus entering Hardmode the slimes in this world also changed to a stronger being. In this case they did a 'mere' 36 damage on average and had about 276 health.
Have other people encountered these randomly strengthened slimes, or is this just some weird clientsided bug? --SlyVortex 17:12, 13 September 2015

Reports of this are common, and it is intended. Enemies are empowered in Expert mode, even moreso in expert hardmode. They also scale with the number of players present. Gearzein (talk) 15:30, 13 September 2015 (UTC)
Good to hear it's not another bug on my client :]
It just really surprised me as this wasn't noted anywhere (as far as I could find, that is) --SlyVortex 21:32, 13 September 2015

Bonus drops on mobile

It appears that mobile may indeed have some Bonus drops. I would like to compile a list of them here. If the drops are the same as on desktop, we should add the Desktop-Mobile banner to the Bonus drops section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ferretwings (talkcontribs) at 13:42, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

Rare slime drops?

While fighting King Slime in a slime rain, I found a Blue slime with an Emote, just like a NPC, and it dropped a Blue Dungeon Wall (the world has a blue Dungeon). This was on a medium Expert world. Unfortunately, I have no screenshot from it... Anyone can confirm this? –213.211.139.28 20:39, 1 August 2017 (UTC)

That was very likely a bug. 85.76.18.209 06:23, 1 February 2018 (UTC)

Slimes behaving weirdly

Today, when i was exploring caves, i saw purple particles coming from a cave. The particles moved around and sometimes stood in a place. When they stood in a place, they looked bit like the Demon Scythe projectiles, but only smaller. When i entered the cave, i saw that a Red Slime was source of these particles. After that, i also saw a Green Slime emitting these weird particles as well. This doesn't seem to happen to statue-spawned slimes. What do these particles mean? Has anyone else seen that kind of behavior in a slime? 85.76.18.209 06:23, 1 February 2018 (UTC)

Do you own any minions or use them? —ϟAwesome_Diamondsϟtalk」 13:09, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
When i encountered the green slime, i had one imp minion summoned, but when i encountered the red slime, i had no active minions.85.76.19.202 15:14, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
You wouldn't happen to be using the Mobile version Mobile version or Nintendo 3DSNintendo 3DS version version would you? I see all enemies emitting red heart particles due to the Valentine's Event. – ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 17:14, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
No, i was playing on Desktop version Desktop version and these particles didn't look like hearts, they looked more like purple trails. And they didn't appear on all enemies, only on those two slimes. 193.210.230.223 17:29, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
Ah, well in that case, are you using any mods? If not, it may be a bug. You should take some screenshots and report it to the forums. – ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 18:25, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
Just to be clear, RtD is talking about the minion targeting particles. I finally got around to making some decent screenshots and put them on Summon weapons. --MentalMouse42 (talk) 12:02, 2 February 2018 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Yep, i looked at those screenshots and they looked exactly like the particles i saw on the two slimes. 85.76.66.73 12:58, 2 February 2018 (UTC)

Ah, I didn't think about those. Thanks MentalMouse42!– ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 14:46, 2 February 2018 (UTC)

Hoppin' Jack's presence on this page

Do we really need Hoppin' Jack here? The only similarity is the AI, nothing else. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mislic (talk • contribs) at 20:54, 22 February 2018 (UTC)

No, it should be removed as the Grasshopper also uses the Slime AI and is nothing like a slime and is not included. AI types are not directly related to enemy type. Thank you for pointing that out! – ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 21:33, 22 February 2018 (UTC)

Ice Slime Glitch

So I think that the page should be changed because on my world Ice Slimes do drop gel. This might be a bug but I was unsure because it was consistant with every world even after uninstalling and re-installing Terraria. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.218.129.112 at 21:57, 29 October 2019 (UTC)

Add disambiguation note and link? (Done)

Currently this 'slimes' page doesn't mention the town slimes. Would it be helpful to add a disambiguation/redirection note and link at the top of the page, in case people forget to search for 'town slimes'? I would try to add it myself, but I'm very new to contributing to wikis, and I wouldn't want to do anything to mess up this excellent resource! I'm pretty good at correcting spelling and grammar, and small rewrites to improve clarity. But I think I'll leave links and other 'advanced' stuff until I have a bit more practice and confidence. Saiph (talk) 18:17, 22 July 2023 (UTC)

Good suggestion; there was already a link in the See also section, but I've moved it to the top (using the {{distinguish}} template) for better visibility. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 22:09, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
Nice job. I missed the link in the See also section. Using the template makes the edit very simple - I've learned something there. Thanks. Saiph (talk) 08:13, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
