Spawn location

They most commonly spawn in the cavern layer. Sometimes if I really have trouble finding a certain underground structure, I just spam Teleportation Potions until I get to an area I havent searched yet. actual lost girl

Glitched

The Stylist will spawn and despawn like a monster, so she won't always be there. If you wait around the nest, she should appear eventually. – KM100 ^(talk) 16:09, 26 July 2018 (UTC)

Spawning

Spawning locations?

Hello! I am a user of the Nintendo Switch edition. I have generated 4 random worlds, and the spider cave generated was always in an underground ice biome. The console and mobile versions usually only differ from the Desktop version in terms of game controls/UI/etc., and not core game mechanics like world generation, at least since 1.3. So I would assume that there is no special world generation in the Switch version, and that it was indeed just a coincidence. I don't know this for sure, though, of course – you could try making more worlds if possible, and see if this keeps happening. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 18:17, 2 November 2021 (UTC)

Where do I find these on Don't Dig Up?

On the Don't Dig Up, or Remix seed, I can't find any spider caves despite working on this world for almost a month now, and I wish to find it for farms and to unlock the Stylist. It shows the map on the wiki page for Don't Dig Up, but the map is different even though it is the same seed. I'm on PS5 if it helps. -CandyCorn

Spider Nest

The bestiary canonically calls the "Spider Cave" a "Spider Nest". Do you think we should change "Spider Cave" to fit with this?

So, that's what the page was originally called. In early 2020 it was moved to "spider cave" since at the time, the game only referred to it as "spider caves" (in a worldgen status message) or "spider caverns" (in the achievement description). I'd be in favor of moving it back now though, since we have the Bestiary and Spider Nest Blocks/Walls. --Eraloiz (talk) 14:32, 26 January 2023 (UTC)

I'm fine with that as well. The world-gen and achievement strings still use "cave"/"cavern", so both of these should probably be mentioned in the intro as aliases. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 13:04, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
