Spawn conditions

Anyone have any idea what the exact spawn conditions for these things are (besides being in an underground Mushroom biome obviously)? It doesn't seem to be the same as other mushroom enemies, they are the only underground mushroom enemies that aren't spawning in my farm. Perhaps a higher count of mushroom grass or giant mushrooms is needed? It might be useful to list the conditions on the page if anyone needs them. Prototype033 (talk) 14:25, 31 July 2020 (UTC)

That's correct! For some reason, the game needs to consider the area you're in a Glowing Mushroom biome, which means there must be at least 100 tiles of Mushroom grass, natural Glowing Mushrooms, Giant Glowing Mushrooms, or Mushroom Vines (or any combination thereof) nearby, for the Spore Skeleton and the Spore Bat to be eligible to spawn. (You don't need to be in the biome for the other Glowing Mushroom biome enemies to spawn; they only need a single block of Mushroom grass to spawn on – although their spawn chance increases with more Mushroom grass blocks around.) Thanks for noting; I have added this to the page. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 23:47, 31 July 2020 (UTC)
Actually the Spore Bats were already spawning in my farm too (so I must have over 100 mushroom grass tiles, in fact I probably have well over that) yet the Spore Skeletons still refuse to spawn. Is its spawn conditions really just that? The only other spawn conditions I could think of that it might additionally need is for the mushroom grass to be naturally placed, but I doubt it as that would be unique among spawn conditions in Terraria. Or if they need a huge amount of mushroom grass but I don't really know why they would need that on top of the area already being a biome. Prototype033 (talk) 19:14, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
