Also in dungeon chests?

I think I found a couple of these in the dungeon, but I’m not sure. If it happens to me again I’ll update the article. —misterhaan 17:29, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

You probs confused it with the dungeon because the floating islands had locked chests at the time of writting. Colinzer (talk) 22:23, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
I haven't found one — Preceding unsigned comment added by Preachybasher43 (talk • contribs) at 19:28, 22 February 2016 (UTC)

Stars spawn on sceen?

is it intended the stars shall spawn on sceen? --Darkmtbg2 21:21, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

It is as long as your on mobile or other device that when you have your inventory open the screen scrolls up and it spawned on screen when your inventory was open. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Colinzer (talk • contribs) at 21:42, 7 December 2020 (UTC)

Percentage

how does percentage work?-- user terraria418 http://wiki.terrariaonline.com/User:Terraria418 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Terraria418 (talkcontribs) at 11:21, 26 January 2012 (UTC)

15 damage × 3 stars × 2 hits per star ≠ 75

Did I miss something here? The sentence "The sword itself deals a base damage of 16 as a melee weapon, while the stars deal an additional 15 damage each and can hit up to 2 times, for a total of 75 possible damage if all make hits" doesn't make any sense. If each star can hit twice, and there are three stars, and each star does up to 15 damage, then that's 45 damage if each star hits, and 90 if each star hits twice. I'm removing the "for a total of 75 possible damage if all make hits" part. --Moxie 21:37, 12 May 2012 (UTC)

Is Starfury still considered a magic item?

The damage from the actual weapon is definitely melee damage now, but if the star still deals magic damage then I'd easily rule it as a magic weapon. To that effect, can somebody with Spectre Armor and a Starfury give it a try to see if the star triggers the healing effect? Chaosvii7 (talk) 11:59, 10 October 2013 (UTC)

The problem is that unless I'm mistaken, the weapons are all grouped by damage type, then category. Starfury is now a melee-class weapon. Plus the Bee Keeper is grouped with the melee weapons, and it has a special effect as well. I say we move it to the swords group now. 99.6.26.155 22:39, 10 October 2013 (UTC)

1.2.3 bug fix questions

several of the listed bugs have been fixed but I am unsure about if it is still possible for this wepon to have magic prefixes at spawn? As in has this been fixed for older worlds?--Dragrath (talk) 22:56, 15 February 2014 (UTC)

Does this still consume mana?

When using this weapon, the mana restored graphics and sound played a short period after swinging it. Does it still consume a miniscule amount of mana for some reason, or is that just a weird anomaly? I edited the anomaly into the main page previously, but somebody else edited it out. I wasn't going to start an edit war over it, so I figured I'd ask here if anybody knows the answer. --108.28.185.237 23:05, 19 May 2014 (UTC)

It does not consume any mana (source code confirmed). --0icke0 (talk) 08:35, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
After reading that I decided to do some testing. Apparently the mana restored graphics/sound plays for beam swords that have a cooldown. I'm curious as to if that's said anywhere on the wiki because it's definitely not listed here. --108.28.185.237 17:44, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
It is now! NoseOfCthulhu (talk) 00:01, 21 May 2014 (UTC)

Still un-buffed up attack?

Just checking up and I wanted to ask if the buff is actually there or is there a bug (if so I'll go make a report for it) as my current starfury only has 22 attack power. --Racf92 (talk) 18:14, 4 July 2015 (UTC)

Starfury's stars showing up slower with more melee speed?

I was messing around with the Starfury and I found that equipping the Feral Claws would speed up the star movement, but slow down the actual appearance rate of stars.

I don't have a way to test this more definitively, so could someone confirm this for me before adding it to the page?

ImmortalZypther (talk) 21:09, 1 June 2020 (UTC)

You seem to have run into what I'm calling the "Melee projectile cap"; essentially, if you have a fast enough weapon, the game will skip some projectiles, imposing a hard cap on how many projectiles you can fire. This applies to everything that has a projectile, even items such as the Daybreak and Vampire Knives that have no true melee attack. --172.58.172.39 21:31, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
This feels like something important to add somewhere, but I'm hesitant to add it without any solid numbers. Thank you for the incredibly fast response though! ImmortalZypther (talk) 21:46, 1 June 2020 (UTC)

Goblin Invasion

I Just got the Starfury during a Goblin Invasion on the current PC version — Preceding unsigned comment added by Martingolding96 (talk • contribs) at 12:51, 21 June 2021 (UTC)

Effect on Fallen Star spawn rate

Referring to the recent addition of the claim that swinging the Starfury at night has an effect on the spawn rate of Fallen Stars: This is not true. The relevant part in the Desktop version Desktop 1.4.2.3 source code is the last section in Terraria.WorldGen.UpdateWorld(), where it can be seen that the only factor influencing the spawn rate is Star.starfallBoost. This variable is merely affected by whether the world is a Celebrationmk10 world or not. The part where firing the star projectile is defined, Terraria.Player.ItemCheck_Shoot(), does not reference the Fallen Star part in any way, either. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 00:13, 29 August 2021 (UTC)

Add more info from the 1.4.4 update page?

There are two changes written down, but not all of them. Firstly, "Starfury's star has been given a visual overhaul". Secondly, update Projectiles can now go through blocks" with "Stars will now fall through blocks until reaching the player's cursor, unless the cursor is pointing into solid block, in which case it will fall to the nearest open air block.". This is up to you all but I find that it's needed. Please and thank you. Setnour6 (talk) 18:23, 4 October 2022 (UTC)
