Money Hair Dye

So, since I really don't know how to format; She sells the 'Money Hair Dye' when you have at least 1-plat coin in your inventory, and she sells it for 10 gold. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.30.52.149 at 11:09, 15 February 2014 (UTC)

Cheers, I added it in. Summoningdark (talk) 11:28, 15 February 2014 (UTC)

Dye Info

The mana hair dye changes the hair color from blue to white as the mana is consumed. the party hair dye changes from some shades of pink/violet, and releases confetti. the speed hair dye changes the hair color to bright blue while the character moves. she also sells biome hair dye, which changes hair color according to the biome — Preceding unsigned comment added by 187.213.180.205 at 08:36, 16 February 2014 (UTC)

I just completed the shop inventory. Everything should be correct, as I looked it up in the source code of the game. 88.67.67.137 12:46, 16 February 2014 (UTC)
She had the biome dye in stock immediately for me, world was *definitely* pre-hardmode. I won't touch the page because I have no idea if I'm even doing this part right. Just wanted to share. Also worth noting that Mana Dye seems to have some color issues if you have more than a certain amount of mana. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.161.168.7 at 14:55, 16 February 2014 (UTC)
I just took another look at it, and it's definitely only in hardmode. Except, of course, if Main.hardMode stands for something else, but I doubt that.
What do you mean by "more than a certain amount"? Looking at the code, the color goes from #324BFF (at full mana) to #FAFFFF (at 0 mana), and I think all colors inbetween look just fine. Also, if you have 0 max mana and still use Mana dye, the game will probably crash because it can't divide by zero. Niranufoti (talk) 16:14, 16 February 2014 (UTC)
inventory isn't really complete without the new hairstyles she sells — Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.65.242.28 at 01:43, 6 April 2014 (UTC)

Spawning

If I find a spider nest that doesn't have a Stylist inside, is it possible for her to spawn if I leave and come back? 139.222.232.6 18:30, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

Yes, it happened for me. Found a spider nest, she wasn't there, came back later, there she was right near the entrance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LJBisbee (talk • contribs) at 20:13, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
It's just the same as with the mechanic and the dungeon: The spider nest is the Stylist's natural spawning area, so she'll spawn there eventually. Niranufoti (talk) 17:23, 19 February 2014 (UTC)

new world?

gone to every spidernest I can find multiple times, do you need to create a new 1.2.3 world to get her or will she spawn in an existing? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.65.242.28 at 01:43, 6 April 2014

She did spawn in a pre-1.2.3 (either 1.2 or 1.2.2, I don't remember exactly) world for me. I've gotten the impression the game mechanics can be a bit irregular however, so I cannot guarantee that the same applies to everyone else. At the same time it doesn't seem that she's guaranteed to be in a given spider nest, so you might just be unlucky. Perhaps it would be an idea to use a map viewer to rapidly find one or more unexplored spider nests and check those? NoseOfCthulhu (talk) 18:40, 6 April 2014 (UTC)

Re-Spawn After Death

I don't know if it happens all the time, or just some of the time, or if it is intended or not. But at least in my current world the Stylist does not just re-spawn after death and move back into a house like other NPC's do. Instead you have to rediscover and rescue her from a Spider Nest again. If it is an intended feature and not a bug that should be made clear on the main page. And if it's a glitch of some kind, it's still noteworthy enough to mention anyway. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.114.40.214 at 05:49, 2 February 2015 (UTC)

Respawn

I was digging around underground trying to find some cobalt for a new drill, and i didnt realise that she was in a spiders nest right above me, the spiders killed her before i could free her. will she ever respawn or am i right screwed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.181.149.224 at 01:28, 28 June 2015 (UTC)

Bound NPCs spawn like regular mobs, so leaving the area will eventually cause a new Stylist to appear when you return. However, this sort of question is better suited to the forums. Gearzein (talk) 01:32, 28 June 2015 (UTC)

Help!

Help! I can't find the Stylist. I've found a Spider Nest, have all summoning requirements, and I still can't find her anywhere! Any tips? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pancakes10101 (talk • contribs) at 18:06, 21 August 2015 (UTC)

Just stay in the spider cave, and make sure there are Spider Walls off-screen, for her to spawn on. She'll spawn sooner or later. –KM100 (talk) 18:35, 21 August 2015 (UTC)

EDIT: Nvm, I already made a Stylist house, and my NPC's kept on moving in, without any room for my Stylist, which will not make her spawn. However, I finally found my Stylist. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pancakes10101 (talk • contribs) at 18:38, 21 August 2015 (UTC)

Stylists name glitch, I believe,

I have a stylist named Stylist, and the "name" isnt listed in the wiki itself, so im not sure if this is a glitch, or the wiki hasnt included the name, although i dont see why Stylist would be a name. i have the 1.3.0.7 version.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Xaracen1 (talk • contribs) at 18:28, 15 March 2016 (UTC)

Be sure to report it in the forms -Ferretwings (talk) 20:04, 15 March 2016 (UTC)

Male Stylist?

Is the Male Stylist true?. Can you show me the photo of a male stylist? I believe that Terraria doesn't have male stylist, but I want to know. --IosKent (Talk Page - Contribs) 07:18, 26 October 2016 (UTC)--

If you were talking about the quotes that have the requirement "if male", that refers to the player. Anonymous132547698 (talk) 16:22, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
It wasn't worded very well, lol. I changed the wording to clear up any misunderstanding. – Ferretwings (talk) 17:32, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

On 3DS?

I'm guessing this isn't on 3DS, and very likely won't be added because of the lack of shaders? – Ferretwings (talk) 00:06, 18 June 2017 (UTC)

Most likely not on the 3DS version. I never went hunting for her specifically but I'm sure I would have found her by now if she were implemented. 4e696e6a6f795844 (talk) 02:15, 18 June 2017 (UTC)

I don't think this contributes to anything. If you want to talk about this, go to the Official Terraria Discord or something like that. Frozenreflex1. Oh Hello. (talk) 12:03, 12 August 2017 (UTC)

Spawning Restriction

My current world spawned a spider cave at a very shallow depth - solidly in the Underground layer. With a Lifeform Analyzer to spot her as soon as she spawned, and about 200 Wall Creeper kills (and seven Pinky sightings on the analyzer) I'm fairly certain that the Stylist will only spawn in spider caves in the cavern layer. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.112.239.201 at 02:53, 12 August 2017 (UTC)

Missing Name?

I heard that the Stylist can also have the name Charlotte. Can anyone confirm this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pispacedolphinmachinegun (talkcontribs) at 14:01, 5 June 2020

Checked the source code, Charlotte isn't there. Equazcion (talk) 18:13, 5 Jun 2020 (UTC)
