Autoswing

Tested it on PC (1.2.4.1). With attack speed boosters you can shoot faster as well with autoswing. Beetle Mail set/Power Glove/Celestial Stone makes it easy to prove. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.139.175.191 at 17:55, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
Basically, you CAN shoot projectiles faster than you swing while autoswinging if you use attack speed items. So, "anomaly" section is not correct, and autoswing is not useless at all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.210.209.29 at 10:43, 5 September 2014 (UTC)

Damage Stats

If your Terra Blade has a different damage than what is listed in the wiki, and you think our numbers are wrong, please follow these steps:

1) Remove all your armor and accessories.
2) Cancel all your buffs.
3) Examine your standard, unmodified Terra Blade.

If your numbers still differ from what is listed in the wiki, please list the full name of your weapon, the platform you are using (PS4, 3DS, iOS, PC, etc.), and the Terraria version number. It would also help if you have a wiki account, so we can contact you if we have further questions. – Ferretwings (talk) 15:10, 23 August 2016 (UTC)

Projectile doing more damage than blade

While testing the Terra Blade with Thorium Mod (this should have nothing to do with the Terra Blade), I discovered that the projectile does more damage than the blade. When I hit a dummy with the blade, the value never exceeded 124 (not counting crits), but when I used the projectile, it regularly exceeded 124 and even hit 155 (still not counting crits). I am magic class with no buffs that could possibly affect melee damage. 172.4.84.242 21:02, 28 September 2018 (UTC)

I know little about the Thorium mod, but there is probably is something increasing it, try removing the mod then trying. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.251.21.68 at 00:30, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
The Terra Beam deals 25% more damage than the blade itself, so that is no unexpected behavior. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 18:44, 1 October 2019 (UTC)

How many "Terra"s?

I looked in the Thorium Mod wiki and it said that there was:

-a Terra Scythe
-a Terra Knife
-a Terra Staff and
-a Terra Bow

It's insane, but where is the "Terra" summoning weapon?

Somebody change the Thorium Mod! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.193.22.117 at 18:36, 29 November 2019 (UTC)

This is the Official Terraria Wiki that solely documents the vanilla, un-modded Terraria, hence your suggestion is rather misplaced here. The forums are a much better spot than a wiki to suggest something anyway. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 21:22, 29 November 2019 (UTC)

Projectile fire rate

I was told that Terra Blade's projectile fire rate will be affected by melee speed(from accessories and armor of course), can anyone confirm that? BadPiggy1024 (talk) 02:04, 16 October 2020 (UTC)

Unless there is an undocumentated change, melee speed only affect the time for the sword to swing and projectile velociy, use time for the projestile - the fire rate - is untouched --Daud ahn (talk) 11:52, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
Just tested with all melee gloves and armors, and there's a slight increase in projectile fire rate. Maybe a code check is needed? BadPiggy1024 (talk) 14:14, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
I think you're both correct. I've taken a look at the Desktop version Desktop 1.4.1.2 source code and it seems melee speed affects all three – projectile velocity, sword swing time, and fire rate. The number of frames of the swinging animation is directly linked to the projectile firing, since the projectile is fired at the beginning of each swing. So if we reduced the frames from the default of 14 to 12, e.g. by equipping a Fire Gauntlet, the Terra Beam could now be fired every 12 frames instead of only every 14 frames. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 00:38, 19 December 2020 (UTC)

PC crafting tree

The PC crafting tree needs to be updated to show that Broken Hero Sword is part of the Terra Blade recipe. Somehow Broken Hero Sword got removed from the crafting tree entirely. Comoros (talk) 19:29, 19 October 2020 (UTC)

The Broken Hero Sword has now been added to the PC crafting tree, yet it does not have Mothron in parentheses (as it does in the other crafting trees), nor does it show the droprate. Comoros (talk) 18:43, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

Trivia

"Within the beta versions of the game, a feature was added for the developers where when a Copper Shortsword and 5 Mushrooms are placed in a empty Chest, after logging out and back, a Terra Blade will have appeared in the chest." Can someone confirm this? I can't find anything like this in the code for chests. Frozenreflex1 (talk) 23:42, 23 December 2021 (UTC)

Considering the Terra Blade was added in 1.2 and did not exist in the beta versions, this is hard to believe. --AmsterWikis (talk) 02:45, 24 December 2021 (UTC)

"In the Celebrationmk10 seed it is possible to get the Terra Blade early due to the Jungle Mimic dropping the Terra Toilet and Shimmers uncrafting"

This isn't true, I tried doing this in a Celebrationmk10 world and the Terra Toilet didn't decraft, it just sat in the Shimmer instead. Meh Memeh (talk) 01:16, 6 November 2022 (UTC)

Recipe fix

this page still shows the outdated 1.3 recipe for the terra blade but I cant't figure out how to fix itAwesomeimp (talk) 14:41, 30 December 2022 (UTC)

This is fixed now, thanks for noting. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 11:10, 31 December 2022 (UTC)

Crafting tree fix

The creating tree no longer requires three broken hero swords, and I'm pretty sure it still requires a broken hero sword for the Terra blade. Could someone confirm (or disprove) if that requires a broken hero sword and fix the crafting tree. Also I would check myself, if I could right now. A1 (talk) 20:17, 24 April 2023 (UTC)

There are 2 crafting trees on the page for different versions: the newer one for Desktop version Desktop version, Console version Console version, and Mobile version Mobile version requires 1 Broken Hero SwordBroken Hero Sword and the older one for Old-gen console version Old-gen console version and Nintendo 3DSNintendo 3DS version version still require 3 Broken Hero SwordBroken Hero Sword. --Westgrass (talk) 20:53, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
