The Tin Shortsword is an early game metal shortsword. Its alternate ore counterpart is the Copper Shortsword.

Like all shortswords, the Tin Shortsword has a very limited range and attacks with a stabbing motion at any direction on  Desktop,  Console, and  Mobile, and horizontally in front of the player on  Old-gen console and 3DS, instead of an arc. This makes it almost useless against flying or jumping enemies, although its high attack rate makes it somewhat effective against weaker fighter type enemies.

Its best modifier is Legendary.

Trivia

• Tin Shortsword is the second weakest of all the shortswords, being only more effective than the Copper Shortsword.
• Despite being the counterpart of the Copper Shortsword, it cannot be used to craft the Zenith.
• Due to the fact that the Tin shortsword is a Copper shortsword tin equivalent, and is also less known and used, it has gained a slight memetic effect on the community.
