Titanium Ore belongs to the third tier of the early Hardmode ores. Upon the third altar broken, either it or Adamantite Ore can spawn in the cavern layer, roughly at lava depth. Mining Titanium Ore requires a Mythril/Orichalcum Pickaxe or better.
As with all early Hardmode ores, decreasing quantities of the ore spawn with every third altar broken afterwards, it is immune to explosives, and it can be obtained from Hardmode crates.

Trivia
- Titanium is a real metal. Its legendary reputation for durability is based on its high strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance.
- Palladium, Cobalt, and Titanium are the only Hardmode ores named after real metals.
- In Journey Mode prior to 1.4.1, it was more cost-effective to duplicate the ore rather than the bar, as it took (and still takes) 100 ore to research the ore and 25 bars to research the bar. At the time, it took five ore to make one bar, therefore researching 25 bars used to require 125 ore. However, due to one bar now requiring only four ore, it takes an equal amount of ore to research either the ore on its own or the bar.
