Undo of Clentaminator

I undid your changes to the Clentaminator page, because the pictures should be easily visible and they where not in the gallery. I am not sure what your were trying to accomplish there, if you did not like the overlap with the template at the bottom, try adding {{-}} before the template. Flisch42 (talk) 06:47, 31 August 2016 (UTC)

Rollback

I've added the "rollback" feature to your account at Terraria Wiki. Please have a look at this post for some important information about this tool, and how it is to be used. Thanks, and feel free to contact me with any questions. Equazcion (talk) 18:25, 31 Aug 2016 (UTC)

Note

I just wanted to expand on the Classy Cane/Pearlwood Sword issue a little. Outside of Tips sections, the main article space is mainly for official information that can be verified. When we start talking about which weapons are good (or "viable") for Hardmode or other scenarios, the game doesn't currently make any distinction there, so it would have to be based on opinion (where's the line? 35 DPS? 40?). There could be a page for viable Hardmode weapons, but something like that would have to go in Guide: space. Equazcion (talk) 00:45, 1 Sep 2016 (UTC)

On the Coin

Do you have any idea of how I might edit the coin template? --BowToes (talk) 05:37, 4 September 2016 (UTC)

You'd need an administrator to do that for you. The coin templates are protected from editing by ordinary users because they're in use on thousands of pages. What do you want to change about the coin templates? Equazcion (talk) 05:40, 4 Sep 2016 (UTC)
I wanted to change the coin images from Copper Coin.png Silver Coin.png Gold Coin.png Platinum Coin (mobile).png to the animated versions. Copper Coin.gif Silver Coin.gif Gold Coin.gif Platinum Coin.gif --βɵωʈɵɛs (talk) 05:49, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
I'm not sure if that's something we want to do here. Animations can be an eyesore if they're overused, and this would put identical animations on every page. If you feel strongly enough about this, please post a new discussion at Terraria Wiki:Community noticeboard, so the community can decide whether or not this is a good idea. Equazcion (talk) 05:52, 4 Sep 2016 (UTC)

Edit Conflict

I kinda find it stupid how I've just made a +934 edit to Guide:Base defense only to be canceled due to someone else making a small -17 change. It really is annoying and if anyone could fix it, let me know. I'm not blaming you or anyone else, but I'm just saying, it reaaaalllllyyyy bugs me. Chur. LordofEditing (talk) 22:48, 9 October 2016 (UTC)

It should've redirected you to a page that says "Edit Conflict" and then you could just merge both edits. But what I noticed it does is that it puts the newer edit over the one you just made, and therefore, if you assume you can continue submitting, your edit is erased. Perhaps there might be a way for an administrator to change that? 4e696e6a6f795844 (talk) 10:08, 10 October 2016 (UTC)
If you click the back button, it should take you back to your edit (it does for me). Then you can copy your work, and paste it into the new page. Sometimes I even "undo" the previous edit (in a new tab), and add it back in after I've pasted my edit. Yes, it is quite annoying. :/ – Ferretwings (talk) 20:05, 10 November 2016 (UTC)

talk exists, page doesn't

Unfortunately you have deleted sky biome but you have not deleted the talk page for it. Plus I have added some text for you to read. Myfinalettempt (talk) 15:06, 29 October 2016 (UTC)

I've now redirected it to the talk page for Space. To answer your final points there, just because something looks different doesn't mean it's a biome. The game code contains distinct biomes; we don't make them up, and currently the game doesn't consider the sky area below Space as a separate biome. When the music changes, you're officially in Space, covered adequately by that article.
The major practical properties of the sky are the presence of Floating Islands, which we have an article on, and the high-altitude enemies, which are also listed there. Having a separate "sky" page for high-altitude enemies and other properties might actually be an idea, since they don't just occur on Floating Islands, but whenever you fly there or build a structure that reaches there... though we still couldn't refer to that as another biome. Want to help verify 3DS fact?

Hi, I've seen you added some 3DS info lately. There is in the page of the Heart Lantern a verify tag on the notes section for a note that says that heart lanterns can't be crafted on 3DS. Do you know if that is true? --Leonord_curse「userpage - talk」 00:12, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

Just checked it, you can still craft Heart Lanterns on the 3DS version. Fully functional, too. 4e696e6a6f795844 (talk) 00:30, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

Speaking of admins, I noticed an odd button in the sidebar earlier, "Claim this Wiki". Did the previous wiki guardian expire or something? Shadowsyllvet (talk) 23:42, 6 December 2016 (UTC)

Tooltips

I created User:Equazcion/sandbox3, mainly just for the challenge (didn't want you having all the fun). I still had to include some manual substitutions (see User:Equazcion/sandbox3/dpl), but did manage to cut the code down substantially. Feel free to post it as the tooltip article or tweak/play with it. And sorry if I stole your thunder but I was bored and the challenge was bugging me. If it's any consolation it still took me at least 6 hours over the course of three days. :)

Note that I left out the armor currently cause I'm not sure whether we strictly have the game text posted in "setbonus" on all armor pages, and because it was simpler. Paintings, Buffs, and Debuffs are also left out since most of them don't have their own pages, and their listings already list their tooltips. Everything that uses {{item infobox}} and contains a tooltip is included though. Equazcion (talk) 05:26, 16 Dec 2016 (UTC)

Wow, that looks pretty cool! I think I'll exclude Gem Robes from the list, since like armor, they don't really have "tooltips" so much as stat lists. 4e696e6a6f795844 (talk) 11:45, 16 December 2016 (UTC)
Thanks :) Yeah that's probably a good idea. I didn't realize those robes used the item rather than armor infobox, so they got caught in the net. Equazcion (talk) 18:49, 16 Dec 2016 (UTC)

Template:Immunities

I was comparing the old version of the Confused page to the new one, and I noticed that the Town NPCs got left out, which could be an easy fix. If all the NPCs are immune to the same debuffs, could you add the Immune# fields to the NPC page's infobox? I see no need to add it to each individual town NPC page, unless some are immune and others are not. I'm pretty good at coding, so if we do run into any exceptions, I can probably code the template to handle it.– Ferretwings (talk) 20:34, 1 March 2017 (UTC)

Town NPCs are immune to Confused. Just for future reference, all NPCs are immune to Confused by default, and only if the code specifically says they aren't (this.buffImmune[31] = false;) are they not immune. I thought that it would be simpler just to list damageable NPCs since the ones that can't be damaged (i.e. Burning Sphere, Blazing Wheel) can't receive debuffs. 4e696e6a6f795844 (talk) 21:25, 1 March 2017 (UTC)

Crit

I've been adding the listcat field to all the weapon infoboxes (for dpl usage), and began comparing the stats to what is listed in Item.cs, correcting any differences. On some weapons the crit is listed, and others it's not. If I see in Item.cs a crit of 2, is that the actual crit, or is it "in addition to" some base number? I checked the Critical hit page (and talk page), but found no clue. If it is to be added to a base crit, we should make a note of it on the talk page for others who may be attempting to code-check. – Ferretwings (talk) 00:16, 27 March 2017 (UTC)

Turns out the Player.cs has four values for each type of damage (e.g meleeCrit, rangedCrit) which all start at a value of 4. That value is added to a weapons .crit to create the total critical strike chance, but the player's base critical values can be affected by potions, armor, and the like if they decide to equip it.
I'm going to copy this discussion over to the critical hit talk page so the info can be found there as well. :^) 4e696e6a6f795844 (talk) 10:57, 27 March 2017 (UTC)

I want to make JP pages

Hi. I would like to make a Japanese page, is it okay? --Hikahikaru09 (talk) 11:16, 12 April 2017 (UTC)

Sure, but you should probably make a project page first. Once you've got that, I (or someone else) could set up the interwiki so you can create pages and link them to the originals. :^) 4e696e6a6f795844 (talk) 11:43, 12 April 2017 (UTC)
ok,i made it. but i don't know make translated page -- Hikahikaru09 (talk) 11:45, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
Have you chosen a page to translate? The translated page will have the same name but with a /ja suffix. For example: Drax would be Drax/ja. I would first copy the page in English, then paste it into the /ja page, and begin translating it, removing the English parts as they get translated. – Ferretwings (talk) 13:43, 13 April 2017 (UTC)

3DS Green Stucco recipe?

I was wondering if the 3DS uses Purple Thread to create Green Stucco? – Ferretwings (talk) 23:09, 25 April 2017 (UTC)

It does. I've added it to the page. :^) 4e696e6a6f795844 (talk) 23:38, 25 April 2017 (UTC)

Luminite Bullet velocity

You recently reverted change to velocity of luminite bullet with "I could find anything to justify its speed, but projectile.cs says shootspeed=2f;" I can't understand/find where the shootspeed is defined for each(or any) projectile, but from what I guess/understand, lum. bullets have extraUpdates = 5 which effectively acts like a multiplier(but since it multiplies velocity that was already affected by weapon modifiers I don't really feel comfortable just posting shootspeed*extraupdates as velocity). Just sharing(possibly inaccurate) info. 88.193.92.203 19:00, 27 April 2017 (UTC)

Minor typo in my edit summary there, meant to say "I couldn't find anything to justify its speed, but projectile.cs says shootspeed=2f;". I may recheck the extra updates thing out when I get back to my PC since that seems like a good explanation. :^) 4e696e6a6f795844 (talk) 19:29, 27 April 2017 (UTC)

Expert mode/Expert mode only Template

The Expert Mode only template definitely does look redundant. I only put it because the version pages have their own "only" templates (e.g. Mobile version Mobile version page has mobile only template). Should I remove those? I'm just wondering since those really seem redundant too -Awesome_Diamonds 00:07, 1 May 2017 (UTC)

Since the version the info applies to is listed in the title, sure, but remember to place [[Category:<version> content]] on the page just incase any DPLs rely on it being there. :^) 4e696e6a6f795844 (talk) 10:55, 1 May 2017 (UTC)

Living Loom on 3DS?

Since the Living Loom was introduced in 1.2.3, does the 3DS have it? Somebody asked on the Living Loom talk page. I know 3DS doesn't have very much beyond 1.2. – Ferretwings (talk) 02:28, 22 May 2017 (UTC)

I spent a bit of time looking for that item a while ago and didn't find it, so at this point it's best to assume from that that it hasn't been implemented. 4e696e6a6f795844 (talk) 10:25, 22 May 2017 (UTC)
Yes I verified that the Living Loom, Bone Welder, and Honey Dispenser do not appear in the current 3DS Version. Shadowjared24 (talk) 14:49, 2 June 2017 (UTC)

"..not quite. light offers a 5% speed boost, meaning that although a small difference, light is faster."

Yeah, except the game doesn't use fractions and rounds to the nearest whole number when calculating mining speed, meaning light is not better than legendary for certain weapons. Every edit you undid even said that it was due to rounding and had a source link to where the math was shown. 3DS game controls

I just noticed that we don't have the controls listed for 3DS. I suppose it may make the most sense to add them next to the mobile info, since they both use touch screens? Could you add this in when you get a chance? – Ferretwings (talk) 20:12, 9 August 2017 (UTC)

Does the 3DS have the Ice Golem, and if so, does it drop Frost Core, Frost armor, or both? – Ferretwings (talk) 21:58, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
Does the Meteor Head drop Biome Key Molds and Souls of Light/Souls of Night in the Underground Hallow/Underground Corruption/Underground Crimson (they did before 1.2.3). – Ferretwings (talk) 04:04, 28 August 2017 (UTC)

The Ice Golem drops the armor as it did prior to 1.2.3. As for the Meteor Heads, they haven't dropped any souls/biome keys although I've received a bit of meteorite from them in hardmode. 4e696e6a6f795844 (talk) 11:48, 28 August 2017 (UTC)

Item IDs

Hey there. Recently the Item IDs page received a new layout to offer some more functionality, but is currently suffering from some user friendliness issues as discussed on its talk page. As I've also mentioned there I suggest making a (temporary?) fix by using the old layout. I myself am however limited in what I can do because the source material for the old layout - the sections previously loaded with Ajax - were deleted as part of the change. I'd normally ask the editor, User:ReedemtheD3ad, for help as administrators can apparently restore deleted pages, but he seems to be unavailable for the time being. As such I've come to you. Can you restore the deleted sections for me so I can try implement the fix I suggested? Of course, you are also welcome to join in on the discussion if you think otherwise or have other input. NoseOfCthulhu (talk) 21:09, 25 June 2018 (UTC)

Hi, sorry for not responding sooner. I have been having to deal with some other things in my life recently and haven't been as active. I have been working on a solution to the Item IDs for Google Chrome. With some of the changes that were needed for the new system, it isn't as easy as simply undeleting to revert. I will continue to look for a solution. I believe I am closer to a solution, but I still need a little more time. Thank you for reaching out. – ReedemtheD3ad! (talk) 21:40, 25 June 2018 (UTC)

Swimming Turtle and Frog AI

Does swimming frogs and Regular, Jungle, and Sea Turtles have their own AI? Check in the source code. I dunno how to. Update: I just learned that AIs don’t have names in the source code. Also, how can I edit the AI list?--Superwill771 (talk) 00:26, 23 June 2020 (UTC)

No, the Frog, Gold Frog, and the Turtles all just have swimming as a subset of their "TownEntity" AI. Some of the AIs do have names as part of the methods, e.g. AI_001_Slimes(); AI_002_FloatingEye(); AI_003_Fighters();, but there's times where entities act in ways that putting them under the same AI would feel weird. As for the AI page, It's just a list of AI/row in sequence, which should be pretty straight-forward. 4e696e6a6f795844 (talk) 17:51, 23 June 2020 (UTC)

Problem with editing Windy Day page

I'm trying to update the Windy Day article with a music section, but it says that certain words are disallowed. That must be because I also added the link to the tweet about the music being inspired by Winnie the Pooh, wich has the word "freaking". --Superwill771 (talk) 22:05, 5 July 2020 (UTC)

Wind article needs rewriting

The furniture section is all over the place. Objects like tall grass, oasis plants and sea oats (wich aren't on this page) should reformatted and be on a separate section. Also, hot air balloons and seagulls aren't on this page.

Note: maybe we could make a new page for background ambience. --Superwill771 (talk) 00:56, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

I agree the formatting could definitely be improved. I've tried to fix some of the issues you mentioned, so hopefully it's a little better now. Feel free to make changes as you see fit.
I'm on the fence about a page for background ambience as well. Ultimately they are just a set of images which is what the category accomplishes well, but what I would like to see is a page for the background in general (maybe I should work on that next?) that covers the variations for Tree Globe and World Globe as well as the background ambience mentioned previously. 4e696e6a6f795844 (talk) 02:36, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

Newbie trying to edit the wiki

Hi NinjoyXD. I just joined this community and I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but here goes. I tried to make my first edit. I found an error at the Movement Accessories page. However I am not sure if I did this the intended way. I already saw my summary of the change contained a lot of unwanted information, which I probably should have put in this message. I found the same error on the other accessories sections, but I thought I'd ask some help first before screwing up half the wiki. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ConjoCesj (talk • contribs) at 23:24, 9 October 2020‎ (UTC)

Hey, welcome to the wiki! As Rye pointed out that was a database error that's been fixed now. You're always welcome to contact users directly if you need help. Sometimes you'll get a faster response posting to the Terraria Wiki:Community noticeboard or on the talk page of the page you want to edit, for future reference. Also, a small detail but don't forget to put four tildas ~~~~ to sign your post on talk pages. Thanks and enjoy your time here! 4e696e6a6f795844 (talk) 10:59, 11 October 2020 (UTC)
