Info about old sprites history

Hey, I noticed you've been adding and renaming several old sprites lately, but you removed the sprite from the history section if it was already in the infobox. In my opinion, all previous sprites belong in the history and the only reason both the current and old sprite are in the infobox is because old-gen/3ds players can feel disturbed if the sprite has changed too much. Also, you sometimes added a new old sprite without adding any info in the history section. I was just curious if all of these was intended. --Dinoxel (talk) 13:45, 15 June 2022 (UTC)

The reason I did all of this is because there were some inconsistencies with some of the old sprites, but I don't really know how to explain all of this. Besides I'm not familiar with Old-gen console or 3DS versions of Terraria at all. I only play PC Terraria. So yeah, I don't really know what the sprites look like in either of those versions. So, I'm sorry if there are issues! Angrybirdgamer (talk) 02:59, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
Old-gen console/3ds versions are just older version of the Desktop version plus some exclusive content. Furthermore, files named after "xoxo (old).png" should only be pre-1.3.0.1 files in order to make them appear on the infobox to display both the current sprite and the sprite used on the 3ds/old-gen console versions. For example, File:Hellfire Arrow (old).png had the correct sprite, and the the intermediate sprite should be renamed to File:Hellfire Arrow (pre-1.4.0.3).png as it was updated in this version. Everything is fine, no worries, and thanks for your contributions :) --Dinoxel (talk) 08:10, 17 June 2022 (UTC)

moon boulder

HI SO UH i saw you uploaded moonboulder sprite and i want to ask what this does and how do you spawn it/get it --DOOMHYDRA9999 (talk) at 9:43 AM EST on 10/6/2022

Well, I'm not entirely sure how you can get it exactly, it might be a projectile or something? But I'm not 100% sure! Angrybirdgamer (talk) 13:57, 6 October 2022 (UTC)

Files candidate for deletion

Hey, I noticed you added a {{delete}} template over File:Beach_Ball_(demo).gif. However, the file is still used on language wikis as all English files are on a shared repository with language wikis. So if someone isn't careful enough, they're going to be red links all over language wikis. The best practice would be to click on "List foreign uses" to check them, replace them with the new file, and then add the delete template. --Dinoxel (talk) 14:20, 21 October 2022 (UTC)

Yeah, I was scheming through the page's history, and I found out the gif was removed from the page and remained unused since then, but I didn't realize that other foreign wikis still use this gif if that is so true. Sorry about the inconvenience! Angrybirdgamer (talk) 04:19, 22 October 2022 (UTC)

Updating omitted furniture sheets

Not all sheets are updated. Go to the [Files to be reuploaded category] for reference.

Look I could update the Furniture sheets if I wanted to but for the sake of time, I don't want to waste time to do stuff like this besides AmsterWikis has already gotten it taken care of. So please bear with me as I am hardly ever active on the Terraria wiki mainly because of life stuff. Angrybirdgamer (talk) 17:14, 13 March 2023 (UTC)

How do you move files/pages?

This is a simple question, but I have been uploading new files and I don't quite understand how to move files and pages without redirect.

DoctorePothole (talk) 00:05, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

To move pages or files without redirect, hover over the More button and there should be a move button and here you will see a move page box which it has a check box to where you can check/unchecked it if you want to a leave a redirect or not. I hope this helps you, but be aware that moving files on this wiki can have an effect on other wikis too not just this one. Angrybirdgamer (talk) 02:13, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

Thanks

Hi, thank you for re-categorizing all the NPC animations today! I've been meaning to do that for a while but never got around to it. --Rye Greenwood (talk) 03:03, 26 October 2023 (UTC)

You're absolutely welcome! I'm always happy to help with anything that needs to be done. Angrybirdgamer (talk) 03:08, 26 October 2023 (UTC)

Is it possible to edit images or files on Data ID lists? (Particularly the Projectile ID one)

There is a new GIF file I am thinking of uploading for an animation for the Celebration Mk2, but I'm not familiar with how to upload or edit images to Data ID lists like the one for projectiles. Is it possible to upload or edit new files/images to these lists, and if so, do you know how that can be done? Is editing these lists restricted to the higher-up wiki editors or admins?

DoctorePothole (talk) 19:49, 21 January 2024 (UTC)

Yes, it is technically possible to modified projectile ids with new replacement images. To do this you go this page Module:Projectileinfo/data which from there you can modified its code or simply replace an image if its needed. This module is not usually admin-protected so feel free to make any changes. Angrybirdgamer (talk) 20:34, 21 January 2024 (UTC)

Night's Edge Redirect

Regarding my edits on the calamity wiki on nights edge please see my comment in the discussion subpage. Sixtyfold8611 (talk) 18:45, 5 March 2024 (UTC)Sixtyfold8611

Alright, I left a message on the talk page but for future reference, please don't attempt to break redirects as those are needed to be linked to their respective pages especially if its a vanilla wiki redirect. Angrybirdgamer (talk) 19:21, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
