Admin

It was pointed out to me that I've been nominated to be an admin here on the Terraria Wiki. You said here to leave a message on your talk page if I was interested, so here I am. My goal is to help out this wiki as much as possible, and if we are short on admins right now, I'm willing to step up. Thanks. Chrisf1020 (talk) 18:59, 14 February 2015 (UTC)

You have been promoted. — Game widow (talk) 14:11, 15 February 2015 (UTC)

Glowbomb12

Recently User:Glowbomb12 was promoted to administrator. Despite having only been on the wiki for a week, the wiki was shorthanded, and they seemed genuinely interested in contributing to the wiki, so I didn't make a recommendation to the contrary. Unfortunately, as their talk page indicates, they're not quite ready to make appropriate use of sysop status. I'm recommending that Glowbomb12 be returned to regular user status. Gearzein (talk) 23:04, 3 March 2015 (UTC)

Alright, but are you certain it's not just a learning curve ? If you're sure, then fine, I'll go with your reading of the situation. — Game widow (talk) 23:09, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
Part of me wants to say to give Glowbomb one more chance, but this is far from the first time I've said that. We need more admins on staff to help make policy and for oversight reasons, but having to look after one and review all their actions is causing more problems than solving them. An admin who learned how to use the regular undo edit function a day before they were appointed isn't ready, and I wish I had said something about it at first. Gearzein (talk) 23:59, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
I second this recommendation. The admin tools have been continually abused by this user, leading to, more often than not, additional issues that other admin including myself have to address. Chrisf1020 (talk) 00:02, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
OK, you are the people who deal with the aftermath. I will take your word for it. — Game widow (talk) 00:41, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

Modules

Hello, what about including into Russian Terraria Wiki (and language sections) modules. i think it is very good idea. Alex Great talk 12:14, 16 June 2015 (UTC)

By the way, it was my idea :) More info: mw:Extension:Scribunto. — NickTheRed37 (talk) 12:16, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
I'm just the Curse liaison person, you'd have to discuss that with the wiki administrators Chrisf1020, Gearzein, Equazcion and KM100Game widow (talk) 12:53, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
OK you have scribunto on the Russian Terraria wiki — Game widow (talk) 13:17, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
Thanks. — Agent NickTheRed37 (talk) 14:52, 16 June 2015 (UTC)

Syntaxes for modules

Hallo, please add this features to Russian section of Terraria Wiki: dowhile, dpl, dplchapter, dplmatrix, dplnum, dplreplace, dplvar, forargs, fornumargs, loop, pBars, pBubble, pLines, pPie, pRadar, pScatter, while, widget. Thanks ← Alex Great talk 09:44, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

We don't have / support most of those. We have DPL3, Loops and widgets from that list. I will see if the other extensions we have cover the ones not listed and get back to you — Game widow (talk) 22:17, 26 July 2015 (UTC)
Ok. I only have some of this syntaxes for fully automatical module of documentation. I take it from Minecraft Wiki and I approve it for Russian Wiki. But of course module have an error, because this syntaxes doesn't exist. If the syntaxes does not add, that I have enough with templates. Thanks for answer. ← Alex Great talk 05:48, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
This is the list of active extensions on minecraft wiki — Game widow (talk) 11:52, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
If you can select which ones on there you want, those i can give you easily. I did activate DPL3, Loops and widgets for you — Game widow (talk) 17:05, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
Ok, thanks. I continue to work with module. If module wants more syntaxes, I can talk to you. ← Alex Great talk 10:08, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

Curse rights

How can I become a Curse member? Some of the rights is very useful for administrators and bureaucrats. Maybe it is possible to transfer these rights? ← Alex Great talk 05:50, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

The Curse group and associated rights are reserved for Curse staff, so you can't unless you are hired by Curse. — Game widow (talk) 13:12, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
What about move some rights by Curse to bureaucrats or administrators: hideuser, mergehistory, reupload-own, suppressrevision, deletedhistory, deleterevision. For example mergehistory and deleterevision is very useful for all bureaucrats. Can you add this right or dub it for bureaucrats? 13:40, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
I'll vote for mergehistory as well, and actually I might suggest it be given to admins -- maybe reserve deleterevision for the bureaucrats. Merges happen pretty often and I would find the ability to merge histories very useful quite often. It seems benign enough for admins to have access to it. Equazcion (talk) 14:12, 27 Jul 2015 (UTC)

For example this error exist at this time. I don't know what is that. ← Alex Great talk 13:30, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

Which page? without knowing that, i can't really track much down — Game widow (talk) 14:15, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
Since i've not heard back from you, i took a guess and assumed the problem you are having is with ru:Рецепты. Because the page is so large, it is very difficult to open. For now, our platform team managed to split that page into 3: ru:Рецепты, ru:Рецепты2 and ru:Рецепты3. Please try doing what was done here on the Recipes page. Then you can reassemble them into a single page (if necessary). Otherwise, consider converting it into more than one page — Game widow (talk) 18:57, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
This error get when edit any page. This error very rare, and sometimes I edit page, and get it when want to preview or save edit. Maybe it is server error. Maybe Recipes crash server, bacause many users can know how to craft item, I don't know. I think better way with Recipes is collapsing all recipes like english page. ← Alex Great talk 10:06, 28 July 2015 (UTC)
I agree. So please do reformat that page like the english one — Game widow (talk) 12:04, 28 July 2015 (UTC)
I alredy recostructed ru:Рецепты. Now it has become much faster to load. I hope the error no longer appears. ← Alex Great talk 12:51, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

Namespace shortcuts

Hello, can you add at Russian Wiki (and of course in English if it needed) system of shortcuts for namespaces like Wikipedia:Shortcut. I think it's useful feature. I don't know how it called maybe "Pseudo-namespace". I mean this:

  • Template: → T:
  • Terraria Wiki: → TW:
  • User: → U:

Same function used in Wikipedia. But for Russian Terraria Wiki I want to add russian variants:

  • Участник: (User:) → У:
  • Обсуждение участника: (User talk:) → ОУ:
  • Terraria Wiki: → ТВ: or TW:
  • Шаблон: (Template:) → Ш:
  • Категория: (Category:) → К:

Alex Great talk 06:05, 3 August 2015 (UTC)

Guide namespace

I see that English Wiki have special namespace for Guides. Very good. What if you add same namespace for Russian wiki? But in Russian of course :)

  • Guide = Руководство (Р: if shortcut)
  • Guide talk = Обсуждение руководства

More of our guides exist at Article namespace, if English have special namespace we want it too. Thanks. ← Alex Great talk 06:05, 3 August 2015 (UTC)

At the moment, i cannot add namespaces with Cyrillic characters, but there will be an upgrade to our system later this week which should permit it. — Game widow (talk) 13:26, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
Good news! I should be able to give you the Руководство namespace today. I'll start with that, then we can look into shortcuts — Game widow (talk) 14:25, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
This is realy good news. ← Alex Great talk 14:44, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
I meant to let you know earlier, but the namespace is there now. Let me know if it is spelled correctly (it should be, i copied and pasted the text, but just in case), also, when a new namespace is created, the talk namespace is automatically created, so in english that will appear as "Руководство talk", but in Russian, i'm not sure what you'll see — Game widow (talk) 20:30, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
In Russian I see "Руководство talk". If it is possible, can you change it in "Обсуждение руководства". Thanks a lot for namespaces. Can you rename another namespaces that also in English? ← Alex Great talk 06:21, 25 August 2015 (UTC)
I can't rename namespaces. If you want to change them, then i must create the new namespace, then you must move all the documents from the old one to the new one, then i can delete the old one. But this is only for namespaces that were added after the wiki was set up. As for the talk namespace, i may not be able to change that. I'll look into it, but like i said, a new namespace and it's corresponding talk space are created as a pair. I didn't created "Руководство talk", it was auto-generated. — Game widow (talk) 12:58, 25 August 2015 (UTC)
In general, a good thing that there is a new namespace. But for some reason it is not generated from the Russian language? The standard name for namespace of talkpages is "обсуждение" or "Обсуждение". Would you agree that it looks awful? How on (Russian) and another Wikipedia succeed to create such a namespace correctly? Do you did the right thing? At this manual you need to add both namespaces. No auto-generated.
// Define constants for my additional namespaces.
define("NS_FOO", 3000); // This MUST be even.
define("NS_FOO_TALK", 3001); // This MUST be the following odd integer.

// Add namespaces.
$wgExtraNamespaces[NS_FOO] = "Foo";
$wgExtraNamespaces[NS_FOO_TALK] = "Foo_talk"; // Note underscores in the namespace name.

With this guide I think you can change namespaces. See for more mw:Help:Namespaces. ← Alex Great talk 13:20, 25 August 2015 (UTC)

I don't know what happened, but "Руководство talk" is already correctly named as "Обсуждение руководства". ← Alex Great talk 08:11, 26 August 2015 (UTC)

Guides 2

Hello, can you delete "Руководство" and "Руководство talk" namespaces from Russian Terraria Wiki. We have some problems with it. ← Alex Great talk 04:10, 28 December 2016 (UTC)

Can anyone help me with this issue in Russian Terraria Wiki? Before creating a custom namespace "Руководство" (alternate variant of english "Guide" namespace) I already renamed all existing guides of Russian Terraria Wiki to "Руководство:name_of_guide" (it is identified by MediaWiki as _main_ namespace, no "Guide"). It is my bad. Because when I ask Game widow to create this new namespace, all existing guides was recycled and lost anywhere in Terraria Wiki. For example you can see this category, but you can't see and edit content of this pages (except user sandbox). Second trouble is that when Game Widow enabled "Guide" namespace in Russian, MediaWiki automatocally creates Talk page of NS with wrong name "Руководство talk" instead of "Обсуждение руководства". If it possible, Game widow or Equazcion, can you help me with it? I don't know, we have some variants: we can delete fully this namespace from MediaWiki of Russian Terraria Wiki, or we can (I don't know how) extract this six pages from "Руководство" namespaces and put it on Mainspace. Or we can delete this namespace, remove "Руководство:" from article name of this pages, then create corrected namespace with another NS ID, where Talk page is will be correctly named as "Обсуждение руководства", then move this six articles correctly to this damned namespace. I hope that you can help our wiki with it. I think that this this Manual can help you better then me. ← Alex Great talk 07:09, 3 January 2017 (UTC)

As I understand it, first, you need to rename any pages that you can currently see which begin with "Руководство" and put them in a category (or create a temporary page) to keep track of them during the change. Then i can recreate the Guide namespace which will cause any pages there to "reappear". Once we have all those pages, we can rename them to something in the main namespace (also temporarily and add them to the list with the other Russian guides). Then we have all the pages we need, in the main name space. At that point, you can decide what you want to do with them. We have a different tool now for creating new namespaces which allows the custom naming of the associated talk space as well (if you choose to try the new namespace again) or you can then rename the pages with a prefix (rather an actual namespace) or however you see fit — Game widow (talk) 14:52, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
It would appear that 4 pages are blank. Did they contain articles? – Ferretwings (talk) 16:16, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, users can't rename those pages right now, since no one can even see them. They're listed in categories, but navigating to them shows nothing but the page creation message, as though they don't exist. The namespace would probably have to be deleted before those pages can be seen, edited, or moved. Equazcion (talk) 16:26, 3 Jan 2017 (UTC)
Game Widow is probably referring to pages created in the "Руководство" namepspace after the namespace was created. If any pages were created in "Руководство" space since it was created, those pages need to be moved to a different namespace before "Руководство" is deleted, or else those pages will be lost. If none were created in that actual namespace, there's nothing to do but delete the namespace. Equazcion (talk) 16:29, 3 Jan 2017 (UTC)
If he can view and edit the guides, he'll probably keep the "Руководство" namespace, as that seems to be the biggest concern. If the page Руководство:Что_делать_в_игре_новичку is renamed to Что_делать_в_игре_новичку (it is already in category Категория:Руководства) it should be viewable and editable? – Ferretwings (talk) 17:19, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
Currently, nobody can view and edit the guides that were created before the namespace was created. The only way those will be viewable is by deleting the namespace. Once it's deleted, those guides should re-appear, then they can be moved to a regular title, and then the namespace can be re-created and previous guides moved there. Equazcion (talk) 17:26, 3 Jan 2017 (UTC)
To clarify slightly, the pages can't currently be renamed, since they can't even be viewed -- so the renaming isn't a solution right now. The namespace needs to be deleted first before anything can be done with those "invisible" pages. Equazcion (talk) 17:32, 3 Jan 2017 (UTC)
If everyone is happy to have me delete the "Руководство" namepspace, that's fine by me. I simply want to be sure that that is what is being requested and that i won't end up once again being berrated for doing what i felt was asked for — Game widow (talk) 18:48, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
I apologize if it sounded like I was berating you Game widow. I'm not sure if that was directed at me, or if someone else did berate you for creating the namespace. I only meant that deletion of the namespace is probably the first step in addressing Alex's issue. I wasn't involved when Alex requested the namespace and I'm sure you were just doing what he requested.
Alex Great should please let Game widow know when he's ready to have the namespace deleted. Note that any "Руководство" namespace pages that were created after the namespace was created should be moved first -- but since nothing from the category is currently viewable, I don't think any such pages exist, so the namespace can probably be deleted without losing any content. It would be best if Alex Great could confirm though. Equazcion (talk) 18:59, 3 Jan 2017 (UTC)
Agreed, and my comment was not aimed at you, Equazcion. Alex Great, please do let me know if you are ready to proceed and i'll delete the namespace — Game widow (talk) 19:00, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
Discussed another variant: in theory, the pages can be renamed at the source code level. If it is not possible, the namespace can start to remove. — Ivan-r ru.Wiki Admin 19:34, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
I do not have access to do anything at the source code level, so i can delete the namespace, but that is all i can do for you (and have done) — Game widow (talk) 19:44, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
This work! Thank you! — Ivan-r ru.Wiki Admin 20:43, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
I rename all pages. You can return the namespace. — Ivan-r ru.Wiki Admin 20:47, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
Done — Game widow (talk) 21:03, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
Nice work Game widow :) Thanks! Equazcion (talk) 22:17, 3 Jan 2017 (UTC)
Thanks guys. I see that all Guides is already viewable and editable. Thanks a lot to Game widow, Equazcion and Ivan r to solve this issue. I already see that Talk page for Guides is already correctly named as "Обсуждение руководства" and at this moment one page is exist at that namespace (that also editable and viewable). Thanks many times for this, and I'm so sorry that I maked this mistake with this guides. ← Alex Great talk 05:20, 4 January 2017 (UTC)

I know that I can export gadgets and merge it by myself. But I can't see Gadget section at Preferences in Russian Wiki. Maybe this is an extension? Do you add this extension if it is? ← Alex Great talk 08:40, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
Yes, it's an extension Game widow enabled at English Terraria Wiki recently: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Gadgets Equazcion (talk) 08:50, 13 Aug 2015 (UTC)
Ok, I hope that Game widow can enable it at Russian section too. ← Alex Great talk 09:04, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
Do you think you could make one decision about all the extensions you want, Alex? This one, by one, by one request style is getting to be a pain. Gadgets are active — Game widow (talk) 13:02, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
Well, I'm sorry. I have to add a new section that you react as quickly as possible. If I write everything in one section, you delete it (for care), or did not answer, as it was above. I understand you are very busy (hundreds of wiki to work). But, for example, many important questions still unresolved. For example, you do not correct the mistake of the Chinese (zhcn) interwiki in the French wiki. You do not have added support for the Korean language in Portuguese and Chinese (zhtw) wiki (including sidebar language section support). ← Alex Great talk 10:04, 14 August 2015 (UTC)

If you can, put more extensions into Russian Wiki: SyntaxHighlight, ImageMap, Javascript Slideshow and LabeledSectionTransclusion. And what about Guide namespace? Thanks. ← Alex Great talk 10:04, 14 August 2015 (UTC)

The extensions have been added. As for the namespace, our platform team is still working on making it possible to use Cyrillic, so if you can wait a bit more you can have the namespaces and shortcuts using the Cyrillic. For the record, i've never deleted any section you added — Game widow (talk) 12:38, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
Deleted. ← Alex Great talk 04:34, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
That's a glitch that happens sometimes on MediaWiki. It undoes the last edit when making anew edit. I think it has something to do with an attempt to automatically merge edits during an edit conflict. I'm pretty sure Game Widow didn't intend to delete anything there. Equazcion (talk) 04:39, 15 Aug 2015 (UTC)
I also do not think our Wiki Manager is malicious intruder. :) ← Alex Great talk 04:49, 15 August 2015 (UTC)

Special:RevisionDelete

Hello. I want to delete one edit on page, how can I do it? I don't know, but Special:RevisionDelete used for it, and I don't know how to use it. ← Alex Great talk 12:25, 23 August 2015 (UTC)

For me to test this properly, i'd need to know which deletion exactly you are try get rid of. It's possible that you just don't have those rights. We don't normally give those out as they allow people to try to mask inappropriate behaviour. — Game widow (talk) 13:58, 23 August 2015 (UTC)
I am a Bureaucrat of Russian section. And I thought that we have these rights. Now I looked at ListGroupRights and we do not have these rights. I see that this right have only Curse. I wanted to remove vandal edit containing banned dirty words. ← Alex Great talk 05:55, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
I would be happy to delete it for you, if you just let me know which one to delete — Game widow (talk) 13:12, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
OK. This edit. This IP have two abuse edits at that page, I block him IP-range at one month. I hope that he will cease to commit vandalism acts. I also protect this page in one week. ← Alex Great talk 14:44, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
Both edits by that IP address are now hidden from everyone except administrators. If you also do not want to see them, i can hide them from you as well — Game widow (talk) 20:29, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
Thanks, that's enough. This is useful tool, what if you merge this right for Bureaucrats? ← Alex Great talk 06:22, 25 August 2015 (UTC)

I'm not sure how to do it on Android devices, but on iOS, when you enter Chrome, there will three dots on the top right-hand corner. If you tap on it, it will display some options for you to choose. At the bottom, it says Request desktop site. Tap on that and the page will refresh will the desktop version. Also, if you want to switch to mobile version, there is a button at the bottom of any wiki page saying:Mobile view. Tap on that and the page will refresh will the mobile view. The issue (which is still a problem) is not switching on any given page between versions, it is that when you move from one page to another, the version you had chosen does not persist. — Game widow (talk) 23:17, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
I'm currently on mobile using PC version, and the format keeps with every page, unless I open a new tab. LordofEditing =(Talk)= 23:20, 3 January 2017 (UTC)

French wiki extensions

Doesn't the French wiki have the same extensions as the English version? On some of our pages, we use the Labeled Section Transclusion extension, however the French page isn't recognizing the sections. For example:
English Living Loom page: https://terraria.gamepedia.com/Recipes/Living_Loom
French Living Loom page: https://terraria-fr.gamepedia.com/Recettes/Métier_à_Tisser_Vivant

Simplified Chinese wiki title

User:Edsnybet, an administrator on the Simplified Chinese Terraria wiki, recently requested of the administration here that we change the title tags on that wiki from <title>Terraria Wiki</title> to <title>欢迎来到泰拉瑞亚Wiki</title>. I'm not certain that this is a task that can be done by sysop-flagged users, and none of the currently active administrators here are sysops at the Simplified Chinese wiki in any case. If you could help with this matter, it'd be much appreciated. Gearzein (talk) 05:05, 15 August 2016 (UTC)

Is there a way to add like, at forums tag for your profile and an accompanying achievement? I mean like your profile page on the Terraria forums. Can you do that? Your profile page is used across all Gamepedia wikis (there are lots), so a field especially for the Terraria forum wouldn't be so practical. A general field for any forum profiles perhaps -- but you could just edit in your own link. Equazcion (talk) 21:11, 7 Dec 2016 (UTC)

User rights in Ru Wiki

These rights are not established in any one of the user groups: gadgets-edit; gadgets-definition-edit. Need add to Admins group. And how to use a special space for gadgets?
P. S. To change permissions you need in the Minecraft Russian Wiki and in the Terraria Russian Wiki. — Ivan-r ru.Wiki Admin 16:41, 23 December 2016 (UTC)

Any group with editinterface has the implicit ability to edit gadgets and their definitions. Admin and above includes editinterface. Equazcion (talk) 21:32, 23 Dec 2016 (UTC)
You don't understand me. See Special:ListGroupRights and list of page in Gadget namespace. For gadgets appeared a separate namespace. Do you can create this?. — Ivan-r ru.Wiki Admin 12:42, 24 December 2016 (UTC)
Extension:Gadgets is already activated on terraria-ru, so simply creating a page named Gadget:<basepagename> is all you need to do — Game widow (talk) 13:32, 24 December 2016 (UTC)
I think he's saying admins are unable to create pages in the Gadget: namespace. I tried it and I can't either. However gadgets here at the English wiki are not in that namespace. They're in MediWiki: namespace, named "MediaWiki:Gadget-[gadgetName]". They seem to be named that way on the Russian wiki as well: https://terraria-ru.gamepedia.com/MediaWiki:Gadget-ipInfo.js.
I guess Ivan-r wants to use the Gadget: namespace for these instead. That seems to be a feature of Gadgets 2.0, the second version of the Gadgets extension. It doesn't seem to be in the release stage yet and I doubt it's installed at Gamepedia. Equazcion (talk) 13:44, 24 Dec 2016 (UTC)
There is no version number listed on the extension, see ru:Служебная:Версия. If the extension we have needs to be updated, that will have to wait until the new year. The platform team is only available for emergencies until then — Game widow (talk) 13:46, 24 December 2016 (UTC)
There's no current version number because the original Gadgets extension is now built into MediaWiki and wasn't installed as a separate extension. Gadgets 2.0 is a new version that can be installed manually, but it's still in development (like a beta version), and could possibly have issues. Equazcion (talk) 14:07, 24 Dec 2016 (UTC)
I don't want to add any extensions. But if this extension installed I want to try it. — Ivan-r ru.Wiki Admin 21:16, 25 December 2016 (UTC)
It is installed — Game widow (talk) 19:06, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
I no longer understand what's being discussed. You can just add the rights? I would have written in Russian, but it makes it difficult to do the abusefilter. — translated use Yandex.translate — Ivan-r ru.Wiki Admin 19:18, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
As admin you have all the rights you need and the extension is (and was) already active/installed on the wiki — Game widow (talk) 19:21, 26 December 2016 (UTC)

By the way, you also do not have such rights. Do you create this page: ru:Gadget:Winter.css? — Ivan-r ru.Wiki Admin 19:56, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
Game widow, Me and Ivan r, we are beaurocrats of Russian Terraria Wiki. WE CAN NOT Create any page in Gadget Namespace. ← Alex Great talk 04:05, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
You should be able to. If this is indeed the case, there is still nothing i can do about it until the platform team comes back, which is after the new year — Game widow (talk) 14:06, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
OK, backing waaay up. You do not use the Gadget namespace to create the css and js files for gadgets. They go in the MediaWiki namespace as Equazcion quite rightly pointed out. And then, if you want to use them, you have to put a check in the box next to them on the Gadgets tab on your preferences — Game widow (talk) 17:16, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
This method is well known to me. But the advent of allocated namespace for gadgets interested me. translated use Google Translate — Ivan-r ru.Wiki Admin 22:14, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
I understand (i think!) but given that this does function (even if it functions differently from what you want) means that it must remain low-priority — Game widow (talk) 23:13, 28 December 2016 (UTC)

ZHTW Page Not Loading

Hey Game widow, I'm having trouble opening this page. It keeps on displaying a gateway timeout message (Error 504) and says there's something wrong with Curse. Benjamin from Curse Help solved the issue previously but now it's come back. Please help! Thanks. LordofEditing =(Talk)= 06:44, 26 December 2016 (UTC)

Confirm. — Ivan-r ru.Wiki Admin 07:54, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
Ok. LordofEditing =(Talk)= 07:59, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
I can't access it either, so this will likely have to wait until people are back in the office in the new year — Game widow (talk) 19:15, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
This history is for the desired page? [1][2]. — Ivan-r ru.Wiki Admin 20:17, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
Yes, it is. LordofEditing =(Talk)= 20:38, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
Their Template:Translate/zhtw has a switch statement with close to 2,500 lines, and each of their Template:Item_links calls that template 3 times. The page in question has about 450 item links. I think maybe this is too much work for the server to handle. Equazcion (talk) 21:50, 27 Dec 2016 (UTC)
That certainly sounds correct — Game widow (talk) 14:01, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
I managed to cut down the work their item link is doing, and the page seems to be displaying now. Equazcion (talk) 21:28, 28 Dec 2016 (UTC)
I'll try and get the active editors to directly translate the text, instead of overloading the Template:Translate/ZHTW with links. And just a quick question, what purpose does that template serve? I've seen your edits and currently are patrolling them. How are you not autopatrol? LordofEditing =(Talk)= 21:34, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
I'm not an admin at most of the other language wikis, only here at English. The translate template, as far as I can tell, lets them take item lists from the english wiki and plug them into the chinese wiki with everything working and translated automatically. Equazcion (talk) 21:40, 28 Dec 2016 (UTC)
Thank-you! — Game widow (talk) 23:14, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
No problem :) Equazcion (talk) 00:59, 29 Dec 2016 (UTC)

Global Contributions

Is there any way I can view my own global contributions? LordofEditing =(Talk)= 07:53, 28 January 2017 (UTC)

I don't think so, but if you email me your email address i can link you to a google spreadsheet with what data i do have — Game widow (talk) 13:49, 28 January 2017 (UTC)

504 message

I had trouble saving to one of my user pages yesterday, and now I can't access it. I keep getting an Error 504 Gateway time-out. Here is the page:User:Ferretwings/Sandbox/DPL. – Ferretwings (talk) 15:40, 1 March 2017 (UTC)

I was able to edit and copy it onto a new page (DPL2), and rem out all the dpls I wasn't currently working on, and have had no problems since. I'm guessing it didn't like the number of dpls I was using? – Ferretwings (talk) 22:26, 4 March 2017 (UTC)
I've logged a ticket on your behalf — Game widow (talk) 19:30, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
