Animation of the Vulcan Repeater.

The Vulcan Repeater is a post-Ocram Hardmode repeater. All arrows fired by the Vulcan Repeater are converted to special Vulcan Bolts, which explode on impact, dealing area-of-effect damage (similar to Hellfire Arrows).

Its best modifier is Unreal.

Notes

  • Console versionMobile version Existing Vulcan Repeaters in the player's inventory were replaced with Chlorophyte Shotbows upon updating to the 1.3.0.1 equivalent.
  • The Vulcan Bolt cannot be obtained as an item without third-party software or commands, as it cannot be retrieved and lacks a crafting recipe.
    • Console versionMobile version Any existing Vulcan Bolts edited into the players' inventory were replaced by Chlorophyte Arrows.
  • (Old-gen console version) Like many explosive weapons, the Vulcan Bolts can damage the player that fired them.
  • Occasionally, a Vulcan Bolt will travel a short distance before splitting into two separate bolts.

Tips

  • Vulcan Bolts can be very useful for lighting. However, one should keep in mind that using them for light in a small area can be dangerous, as they can damage the user.
