The Obsidian Brick Wall is a type of background wall which can be found naturally generated in Ruined Houses in the Underworld, considered unsafe. It drops as an item when destroyed, and can also be obtained via crafting. It is considered a safe wall when placed by the player.

On the  Old-gen console version and Nintendo 3DS version^Verify it has an alternative version which is even darker in color. The alternative version drops instead of the natural one when the natural version is destroyed, but can otherwise be used by the player as any other wall type.

 Desktop version

• Desktop 1.4.0.1: Can now be crafted from Obsidian Bricks and harvested from Ruined Houses; replaces the alternative Obsidian Brick Wall (latter version is removed from game).

• Desktop 1.0.6.1: Fixed a bug where breaking the wall with a hammer would produce raw Obsidian.
