The Christmas Tree is a decorative Hardmode furniture item purchased from Santa Claus for 25 SC. It can be decorated with toppers, garlands, bulbs, and lights to alter its appearance.

Decorations

Toppers, garlands, bulbs, and lights can be placed on a Christmas Tree with the ⚒ Use / Attack button. Each tree may only have up to one of each type. Once a decoration is placed on a tree, it can be replaced by another one of the same type. To remove a decoration altogether, the entire Christmas Tree must be destroyed with a pickaxe, drill, or explosives, which drops all of its decorations.

Trivia

• On the  Old-gen console version of Terraria, there are an additional two tree topper items called the Star Topper 4 (obtained from Presents) and the 505 Topper (purchased from Santa Claus like the other decorations).
• In the event that one of each decoration is placed on the tree, the number of possible combinations is 2,904 ((Old-gen console version) 4,356).
  • Including the possibility of leaving one or more types of decorations blank, the total possible combinations reach 5,039 ((Old-gen console version) 7,055).
